Harrington’s Pie and Mash

This lovely little Soho popup combines a stage production of Sweeney Todd and delicious pies in one Victorian themed pie shop. The Sweeney Todd themed cocktails are to die for (excuse the pun)! The pie was a bit too salty for my taste but that only means more cocktails for me. Since the venue itself is quite small, no matter where you sit you are right in the middle of the action and it really feels like you are in the middle of the play. I’m pretty sure this was a bit of a dream of mine when I first saw the film back in 2007. To be a bit more specific, the actors will sit with the audience, climb on the tables, use them as if they were the crowd in various scenes of the story and interact with them before and during the play, thus creating a fully immersive experience. Overall I must say the whole night was absolutely awesome and I definitely recommend it for Sweeney Todd fans!
