Hijama Wet Cupping Therapy is simple, safe and effective therapeutic technique.

The practice of wet cupping dates back to as far as history has records. It is one of the oldest time-​served medical practices in the world. It was practiced extensively by the Arabs afer the Muslim Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) described its divine prescription for mans ailments. Wet cupping also has its roots in European history, as it was a fundamental part of Medical practice in the UK and America until the 1800’s.

Shamim Lohiya is a Certified Hijama Practitioner, (CHP), awarded by Hijama Nation, (Members of the Complementary Medicine Association).

Member of HNA and Registered with the GRCCT

Shamim wanted to do something to benefit others, as well as her family. She started studying and attending courses on Islam, to get a better perspective on her life, and to gain a deeper understanding of the religion. During this time, she was becoming more interested in health, nutrition & alternative therapies. This is when she realized that Islam and health went hand in hand. Here began her research into Unani/​Prophetic medicine, Hijama and all things Cupping.

Shamim started learning about Hijama in 2005, and over the years she studied various Hijama/​Cupping courses on a part-​time basis, from different teachers & organisations, like Dr. Munir, Health Means Wealth and finally Hijama Nation, eventually she went on to pass the CHP exam. She has been cupping ever since.
