Sandor is incredibly kind and attentive and took the time to consider the reference photos I brought, my hair type, the shape of my face and head, and my haircare regimen before cutting my hair. I was impressed; these seem like things that should naturally and always be taken into consideration at any hair salon, and yet at most places I have been to, they seem to just jump right into it, do whatever you want even if it may not be the best thing for you, and cover up any flaws in the cut with a fabulous blowout.(Maybe that’s the difference between a hairdresser and a stylist.) I got a pretty drastic haircut today; possibly the shortest cut I have ever had in my life. Sandor didn’t go with any of my reference photos per se, but rather he customized it to my face and head shape, and captured the essence of the look I was going for without making it look like I had just stolen someone else’s haircut outright. After going home and passing out for four hours(jet lag), my hair still somehow looks essentially the same as when I walked out of the salon! Thank you so much Sandor!

I may had too high expectations with this salon, based on the high price and the amazing reviews. I feel a bit guilty giving it only three stars, as the hairdresser herself was lovely and nice, BUT I don’t think I will be back. Lets make a list: Pro: — great staff with lots of smiles all around — nice consultation with the hairdresser before the cut — head massage Contra: — she still cut my hair way too short, even though I mentioned it was cut too short before(maybe its the curl … it looks longer when the hair is still wet) — an hour for a short haircut seemed very long, especially without the blow dry — awkward discussion when paying. I had called up beforehand to confirm the 50% discount, but they only wanted to give 15%(made a bit of a fuss and got 50%) I think it was the discussion about the discount, which made the whole thing a bit awkward. I had called up before to confirm, as it seemed a deal too good to be true. it felt like they count on people not arguing when they get«only» 15%. Or maybe I’m just being cynical and the receptionist could not understand my accent very well.

After being let down by my normal beauty salon Jannat Spa who closed early after I had made an appointment for eye brow threading before an impending date, I rushed into Hobs Salon having seen eyebrow threading advertised on their window. A lovely Irish lady said they could fit me in, they were really friendly and I felt bad for asking how long they would be, I was a little agitated due to the situation but the Salon were really accommodating. The lady who did my brows was amazing. She was friendly, quick, polite and even though I have a voucher for Jannat, I will be not be using the remainder of it. The therapist, knowing I was in a rush for a date shaped my brows and used a small amount of dye to show me the effect of HD brows so I can try that next time. I would highly recommend her to anyone who needs a good, experienced therapist in central London!

HOB Marylebone is an elite salon. I’m male, 50, and extremely picky about my short hair, in terms of attention to detail hair-by-hair, and color. I can say Grant is the best stylist and Kingsley the best colorist(using a comb for subtlety) I’ve ever had, and I’ve spent years in elite salons in New York(my primary home) and London(my secondary residence). As a first-time customer, ask for a routine 50% discount.

I just got my hair done here and they did amazing job. I got my hair cut and colored, I was unhappy with my hair that I got done at another salon, so my gf told me to try out this place and they did wonders. My hair was blond but I felt like my hair was going a little bit orangy so I wanted to go a little bit darker. They made my hair a very nice light brown color with some blond. The staff was very nice and courteous and I would recommend for you to go there. On Mondays they all so have 50% off and I think for first time customers they give 50% off too for color.

I visited this salon for a beauty treatment only, so cannot comment on the services of the hair salon. I went here purely because I have just moved offices and our company receives a(very small) corporate discount on beauty services and it’s right by my office. The lady who runs the beauty salon hires out the space so she is not affiliated with the salon itself. I had a brazilian wax and was very disappointed with the service I received. Unlike most salons in London, this lady uses strip wax, not the less painful, more hygienic and modern hot wax, so overall it was a painful and uncomfortable experience. Moreover, she left the wax on the heat throughout the treatment, so about halfway through I had to tell her it was too hot and could she turn the heat down/off. Instead she simply blew on the stick with the hot wax to cool it down before applying it — not the most hygienic method I’m sure?! It was cheap compared to a lot of central London salons, but I would not go back for a cheap deal again as I left the salon feeling uncomfortable(agreed, brazilian wax can never be expected to be exactly pain-free!) and I did have redness which lasted for longer than normal. I would summarise by saying that I would not recommend beauty treatments at this salon and overall it is not what I would consider good value for money.
