It’s whatever all in all. It gets the job done except the wifi. Wifi sucks shit. It’s so slow I can’t do anything. Not the best, but not the worst.

Keep Looking… The hotel was in a great location and the staff was very friendly. Despite that, I would not stay here again, nor would I recommend it to anyone else. The room smelled like paint mixed with some other unappealing odor. It was enough to give you a strong headache and encourage you to spend all of your time outside of the hotel.

This is a great place to stay in London. It’s no 5 star hotel, but it’s a great place for a stay that centers around sightseeing. The beds are extremely comfortable and the staff are nice. It’s a Holiday Inn, so it’s not too pricey. Get a breakfast voucher for the buffet breakfast in the basement level. The tv’s have all the BBC channels and all the Sky Sports channels. You can watch football or the news. They also have the CBeebies channel for the kids which was VERY useful for us. If you can, stay in one off the private hallways on the 6th floor. Extremely quiet and we could keep or doors propped open because we were taking up both rooms. The showers are hard to figure out(top knob is for shower vs. bath and bottom knob is for temperature. Overall, this is a great stay abd a great London experience.

If this hotel was auditioning to be a location in ‘Life on Mars’ or some other period piece when I was there this week I’d give it full marks for that. The early 90s period details were superb. In reception they have a plaque trumpeting their refurbishment in 1990 — and even better Zoom that great evocative hit of Fat Larry’s Band playing instead of the lounge music. The rooms continue the same theme — bedspreads like a Claire Grogan skirt and Austin Powers-esq beds in my room which go up on a hinge into the walls. I know they’ve got their decades mixed up a bit but rest assured its all ‘very last century’. Having said all of that the hotel was comfortable, the staff were trying and its a great location for the price.

Tucked away in Welbeck Street in a quiet little backwater but, at the same time, just a few minutes walk and you are on Oxford Street. They describe this hotel as the Oxford Circus Holiday Inn but it’s not at Oxford Circus, it would take a brisk 15 mins to walk along Oxford Street to The Circus. Anyway its obviously very convient for shopping and I think Baker Street is the nearest Tube station so the tube and buses are all availble nearby. Hotel itself is great nice rooms and very comfortable. Excellent buffet breakfast should satisfy all tastes and appetites.
