I had brunch here a few months ago and the first thing i noticed was it had no fry up??? Obviously to posh for that, so we had the smoked salmon to start — very expensive but tasty then the scrambled eggs with bacon. The bacon was streaky so rather fatty and the eggs had a unique taste i have no idea if it was cheese or sour cream or buttermilk perhaps? I wouldn’t go back for brunch or perhaps try a different restaurant inside the hotel.

I liked every thing about this hotel. The design, the luxurious look, the friendly staff, and the location Every time I visit London this will be my number one choice

This place is not cheap. However, it is impressive. Doormen push open doors for you and the service is swift and quick. The Oscar Wilde bar is probably one of the most opulently decorated bars in London. The amount of gold everywhere is insane — on the tables, chairs and the bar itself. In a place like this you feel you have to order champagne and if you’re on a date you won’t get change for £40. They threw in a few posh nuts and snacks but I’m not sure it was worth £40. If opulence is your thing then consider Beach Blanket Babylon, which is decorated in a similar style but cheaper.

This is a perfect place to stay in London. Amazing location, right between Soho, Mayfair and Westminster. The David Chipperfield design is perfection, the tubs and sinks are full marble blocks, the wood floors are classic and the amenities are well thought out. The staff was amazing, we especially loved the concierge staff who seemed to know exactly were and when to send us for the prefect meal. It was four days of bliss, the only drawback is, I have to go home and back to work.

Wow what can I say about this place — best afternoon tea I have ever had! The hotel itself had amazing décor which I think is 18th century. From start to finish there was impeccable service(15% so I would expect so). There was so much food we couldn’t eat it all and they offered to top up sandwiches and cakes. They offered palate cleansers in between and champagne was too good. Some afternoon teas can get boring with the food being a bit of the same, they had a really good selection of sandwiches and the cakes were amazing my favourite being apple crumble In a mini flower pot so cute! This place you must visit I’ll be bAck

Amazing stay here in London. Conveniently located at Piccadilly Circus, just near Leicester Square, it is easy to spend the evening at the theater then grab a drink at the hotel bar. The rooms are very spacious and bathrooms a real luxury, with carved marble tubs and showers. The swimming pool is to die for(they even play underwater music!), I just wish it had later hours! :) really pleasant staff and I would highly recommend for couples traveling or business trips. The one not so great experience was that upon checkout, someone had charged a 185£ facial to our room! We were not happy and it took a while to get to the bottom of this. Other than that, lovely hotel and I will be back!

For an expensive and luxury café one expects permission to relax and enjoy ones drink. I would argue that this is the absolute minimum requirement of such a venue. The service was continuously surly and the wait staff felt it reasonable to walk past every minute or so scowling at the table. I especially enjoyed the scorn received on asking for tap water to clean my palette. Really didn’t make for a pleasant experience. The food and drink was beautifully presented, however I would have felt more relaxed and welcomed in the Starbucks just down the road. A disappointment.

Love the atmosphere in this tea room! Here is lovely and relax for having some afternoon tea! Staffs are nice and well service, well train, well organize, and good service mind ’ «thump up!»(for ex: I cant finished my sweets asking for taking away end up with they pack it in really good looking package! Service really worth for 12.5% service charged) But the disappointment is your macarons is not good at all… i will show on the picture review However their another sweet is superb! Do Not miss their lovely amd yummy scones! Quite unique texture!

One word: AWESOME!!! This hotel combines classic in modern in such an amazing way, I would describe myself as beholden. The entire place is a work of art and is an oasis of cool, hip and tranquility just a stone’s throw from Piccadilly Circus. The lobby and common areas are all marble and stone, dimly lit, and oh, so sexy. The rooms are meticulously designed with minimal style but maximum comfort and efficiency. The spa with a modern gym, fitness rooms and DAZZLING pool are the perfect place to get in some relaxation, and there are amazing dining options at Ten Room, Oscar Wilde Bar, Domino, and the café. If you’re in London and want to treat yourself to the best, look no further!

I went to this place for afternoon tea on the Christmas Day. I was so glad that they opened! The café has nice decors and the chairs are very comfy. The service was very professional and the afternoon tea was great. They have three different types of afternoon tea. Two of them are served by the café, which everything will come together. The other one that I had is called High Society afternoon tea, made from the Oscar Wilde bar. This one is more like a three-course meal. Everything comes separately. For what I had yesterday: a savoury muffin came first then some sandwiches. Desserts and scones were at last. Those two types served by the café are cheaper than than the High Society one, which is £47.5 included service. The High Society afternoon tea is only served after 2:00PM. It has a completely different menu, so make sure you order the right one. Will definitely come back again. Everything was lovely!

What a pleasant surprise! Quite a few years have passed since I last visited the Café Royal; it used to be stuffy and old-fashioned — in a bad way. Uninspiring mass catering for events and pretty awful service. What a transformation, the Café Royal has been transformed into a classy hotel with several bars and restaurants — and a café! The tired velvet curtains have been replaced by modern panelling and the staff reflect the refreshed look. It now does justice to the glorious building it is housed in, and to its name — fit for a queen!

Was taken here for a night as a surprise for my birthday. Great location, handy for the shopping I had to do in the day on Oxford st, a close walk to some amazing restaurants(we went to Hakkasan) and then perfect for the theatre! Absolutely stunning lobby, and cute old fashioned lifts. Also the champagne bar had all the original décor, super luxurious! The old fashioned elements mixed well well the ultra modern reception and rooms. Rooms are large and comfy, quite striking décor. Bathrooms are gorgeous, great shower! Bed was huge and very comfy. And a great service and tea/coffee in the room. We had room service in the room for breakfast, which was really nice and enjoyable. Quite pricey as you would expect. Also lovely little touch, as it was my birthday they offered us a complimentary glass of champagne in the gorgeous champagne room. Nice touch. Overall definitely would stay here again, such a great location for restaurants and theatres. Saves going home to London bridge, and makes the evening special!

I popped into The Bar for a drink while I was waiting for my wife to meet me for dinner. It looks like a top shelf place, with menus of expensive cocktails to match. I like the look of the sleek bar and colourful display of liquor bottles on the shelves behind. I was brought some complimentary snacks(chips and nuts) while I looked over the menus. I opted for only a beer this time, but I am tempted to return to try one of the cocktails.

From the moment we stepped from the cab, we knew we were in for a treat… We were greeted by name as we exited the cab by a well dressed and friendly young lady. The front desk personnel were friendly and professional without being pretentious . The décor is a mix of old world and modern which somehow makes the old world seem fresh, and the modern elements take on a sense of calm and understated elegance. Our suite had an outstanding view, and in spite of the hotel being almost full, we experienced calm and quiet while in residence. The Carrera marble bathrooms were well appointed with floors that are radiantly heated. The housekeeping services were outstanding and seamless . Mr Sailer(the Manager) was very informative, friendly, and generous with his time. I highly recommend treating yourself to this experience at least once in your lifetime.

We just popped into the ground floor bar for drinks. I’m not sure what else is in the building, but the ground floor also houses a restaurant and some rather swish loos. Cocktails are not inexpensive, but are well made. The whole place has an air of hushed low key grandeur, which I personally enjoy, but it might not be for everyone. Ambience when we visited on a Friday evening at 8.30pm was pretty quiet though.
