Specialties

History

Established in 1987.

When the International Cheese Centre first opened its doors to the public in October 1987 at its original site in Goodge Street, Ray Kenny had no idea that 25 years on with sites in Liverpool Street, Victoria and Marylebone Station, his company was set to become one of the few remaining family run businesses in London today.

Whilst many things have changed over the years, certain things haven’t changed a bit. ‘Our original idea still inspires me’, says Ray who grew up on a farm in the West of Ireland. ‘Customers never tire of good personal service and selling something of quality and products that are not mass produced is a very rewarding thing’. ‘We know so many of our suppliers personally and when you know the faces, the places and the stories behind cheese or a wine or a chutney you feel a human connection and I think that is what customers meet when they walk into our shops. Sending someone off happy is the key here and always has been’.
