I used to love this place and meet my friends on a regular base. We used to stay for hours having dinner with wine as food was great! Then somehow the food started to disappoint us especially the chicken wings served. We were told that they have changed suppliers. Slowly slowly we decreased our visits there and .It is a good meeting point due to its central location and reasonable pricing. I would recommend as I have been there ao many times and it haa a good vibe and kind staff looking after you at all times.

Sunday night Sangria, can’t go wrong, right? La Tasca was winding down when a friend and I stopped in for a late dinner. We had chorizo, tomato and mozzarella, a cheese board, and olives, as well as, of course, a pitcher of red wine sangria. All of it was tasty, though nothing really spectacular, and unfortunately there are tastes from Barcelona that I’ll never forget, so all tapas has pretty tough competition. I liked the vibrant and overwhelming decorations, and I’m sure on a weekend night, the clientele get just as fiesty. The staff was good, and the price was reasonable. All in all, a good meal, just nothing that really blew me away.

Really liked this place and it was a lovely sunny day to sit outside and eat alfresco. The Tapas to share ROMESCOCHICKEN, CALAMARES, SALAD(MURCIA) and BEEF Empanadas, so tasty. A group of musicians played along the walk way for tips. Nice to have dinner and a show.

Meatballs. rice. bread. quinoa. A nice find just off of Oxford street. First night and London and we just wanted something small. Throw in a little Sangria and its all good.

To be fair to La Tasca, I didn’t realize that it was a chain tapas place until I sat down so my expectation bar was set a little higher than it probably should have been. That said, come on, La Tasca, if you’re going to be a chain restaurant at least be better than the tapas version of McDonald’s quality. With so many great restaurants in London waiting for a visit, I will not be returning to this — or any — La Tasca.

La tasca is a big chain of so called Spanish tapas. Well, if you’ve been to spain you know the food here is not very nice nor authentic. Cheesy Spanish décor and expensive English take on Spanish tapas

La Tasca is the second delicious tapas place I have found in London. I went here with a few friends for dinner tonight and had so much fun dining here. The atmosphere is one of festivity and fun and it is a very enjoyable place to dine. We started off with a pitcher of sangria and some bread with dipping sauces. Then we got around 15 different tapas, each one more delicious than the next. My favorites included the seafood paella, manchengo cheese with tomatoes and the chorizo. Everything was very tasty and was very authentically Spanish. My friend who I went with is studying in Spain right now said that La Tasca’s tapas were as good as anything she has tasted in Spain. Although we didn’t have room for dessert, I would love to come back and try everything on it. A great place for groups and they have a killer happy hour before 7pm. Check it out!

Went to La Tasca for a quick bite after work with a couple friends. We ordered 7 dishes for the 3 of us and there was plenty to go around. It was a little pricey for tapas but i guess there was a tourist premium given where its located. The food was pretty tasty. We ordered a number of the paella dishes from seafood to veggie to meat. They were similar but still good. We wanted a seat outside but there’s limited seating

Visited La Tasca on Mayday with my wife, nephew(19) and children(4&7). We sat in the middle of the restaurant for 15 mins with zero attention from the staff. The Manager stood(almost) outside the front door smoking during this time. We had to ask for menus, we had to ask to order drinks and for some crayons to draw on the paper they gave the boys. When they finally came to take the drinks order they missed asking for my wife’s drink. Aside from this poor start the food was good and plentiful. Not sure I would go their again as there are so many restaurants in the area which are better at creating a first impression. This is a real pity as I can imagine the place gets very full — we visited at 5:30pm on a saturday so they should have done better.

hmmmmm looking back now I really must I did actually really enjoy myself, great staff and atmosphere… Look, I don’t like squid or things that pretend to have meat in them so when you’re there and the group of people that all like different things, tapas is the way forward. But then all the food disappears because you were stuck waves jollity and margaritas. For the price, there could have been more for your £. i mean the breaded prawns, as lovely as they were, they still cost me about £1.50 a prawn,(although it may have been the margaritas that made me think that at the time). regardless, there just wasn’t enough for a group-sharing thing, i think the portions were a little small and one could miss out on trying some really nice food, well, if your not as quick as me.

Given how picky I am with my Spanish tapas, a 3-star is a pretty good score. I am not a big fan of sandwiches or bar food, so I am left with not that many choices to dine on Regent St when I was looking for«real food» for dinner. Luckily, I found this La Tasca in a little Alley on Margaret St and ordered the following 4 dishes: — Chicken & Orange Salad: a huge plate and so yummy! — Chicken Skewers: my least favorite out of the 4 plates. Tasted a bit burnt and bland. — Veggie Paella: average paella — Pescado Blanco Frito(or something like that): This is pretty good for fried fish. 4⁄5 The food was filling, but the service was a bit slow. The waiters were such eye-candies though.

When dining at La Tasca I shared a meat tapas selction for 2. The quality of the food was very good, every dish on the table was cleared! However, the service was dismal & this had a negative impact on our evening. Our waitress was most un-helpful, leaving the wine to get warm with no ice bucket and meeting our polite request at how long our food would be with a grumbled don’t know. All in our our food took 50 mins to arrive — we couldn’t help but wonder how long it would take if there were more of us? We spoke with the manager regarding our issues and by way of apology she discounted our bill by 25%. I will come back as the food is fab however service really must improve to make an all round good dining experience.

Maybe I just caught this place on a bad night as I am sad to say that I was extremely disappointed. For a cold Wednesday evening the restaurant was fairly busy but surely that was no excuse for having to wait nearly 50 minutes for tapas for 2! To add to our pain the bottle of white wine we ordered was left on the table to warm up nicely and when I asked for ice and a bucket I was met with a look of disdain. When I asked the same waitress how long my food would take she responded ‘I don’t know’ and I had to push her to go and find our how long it would take… oh how I love great british service! Just as I was about to leave our food arrived and the shameful thing is it was really tasty. Eventually the manager came over to talk to me and to her credit was very apologetic and gave me 25% off the bill, so all was not lost. Maybe it deserves a second chance?

This lively place that La Tasca is provides a wide range of tapas, and when a bunch of us last came we went a mid mad and ordered dish after dish. We ordered albondigas(meat balls) which came laden with tomato sauce, chorizo, patatas bravas(fried potatoes with spicy sauce), gambas pil pil(garlic prawns), tortilla Espanola(Spanish tortilla), calamares… and the list goes on. Each dish was very decent, even more so as we washed it down with a bottles of their Tempranillo. It was also good to see a comprehensive paella selection with a choice of meat, seafood(or mixed) and vegetable, which you can have as a tapas or full size. What made things even better was that everything was very much value for money. So a definite bonus there!

I love Spanish food. Best to go in a group, you can order many a platter. Good food at a great price. This particular franchise at Regents street is busy over the weekends, but one can always expect to get a table. There is ample seating in the basement too. Good service always.

We had a fab evening here in June. Had wanted somewhere with a great atmosphere and we found it! Had a nice table, candle lit and central. Our waiter was great, welcoming, friendly and offered great advice. My husband has coeliacs so we have to be careful what we order as he can’t eat gluten. Their menu is fab as it states what is gluten free and anything we were unsure of the waiter readily found out for us. The food we ordered was great, nicely cooked and really lovely, we enjoyed all of it. the wine list is reasonably extensive offering a good choice for all budgets and they also offer sangria, cocktails, liquers etc which we tried a different spanish liquer eachboth lovely! Our daughter also loved the atmosphere here and it was all round a fantastic evening and we would definately go there again.

Enjoy the Spanish delicacies served all day at this restaurant. It has a nice snack bar alongside the true Spanish hospitality. Italian dishes are also served with Spanish food. Decked and ready for candle-lit dinner mode, this is truly a place to come and enjoy tranquil with soft and mellow music and true Spanish-style music. It adds to the beauty of the Wes End as it becomes incredible having to choose from so much variety.

Excellent food and very nice staff. Great service and great atmosphere. I love the lighting of the restaurant and the downstairs dining area. Even though it is quite big they manage to make it cosy with dark wood and red colours, and of course — burning candles! It’s not rip-off expensive either, which is a great plus.
