I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a good French restaurant in Maida Vale /Saint John Woods. Very good food — I had a grilled Saint Pierre — and pleasant seating

Great local French restaurant — it feels as if you step into somebody’s house. Has a nice terrace with plants. Food is quite classical French bistro food — not a place if you don’t like butter :-) it is also 2 or 3 course with fix pricing so better to go if you are thinking of a full meal. I personally like it as it feels very charming whilst quite classy.

tucked away in a tiny cul de sac in nw London, this tiny romantic French restaurant serves food of the highest quality. the wine list is extensive and the menu seasonal. atmosphere is definitely for 2 although the tables are normal and taking a couple of friends is a treat for all. booking is a good idea but parking is no problem. I had the veal which was superb and a rose recommended by the sommelier. if you are visiting or resident, don’t miss it.

A good upscale French restaurant in St John’s Wood. L’Aventure offers a variety of traditional French dishes, including the escargot and the always tasty soup of the day for starters, as well as a good choice of fish and meat dished for the main, and some great desserts. All prepared to a fairly high standard. The service is pretty good as well. The staff are happy to provide a helping hand with the menu, which you will probably need given that it’s only available in French. The atmosphere is very cozy and romantic, typical of high end French restaurants, with the traditional interior and a conservatory. I would certainly recommend this place for a nice calm evening out in St John’s Wood area.
