Lewisham DLR Station

Had my doubts about Lewisham station /​area but I was pleasantly surprised the staff friendly and welcoming, nice communitors and a policeman dotted around here and there so I felt safe. Station quite small but very clean. Did not like gap though from platform to train that I had to step over it was huge largest gap ever.

Two stars my be harsh, but my reason behind it lays squarely with South Eastern trains. I would never normally get off at Lewisham (It’s nothing against Lewisham, just that it’s not my stop…
There is one situation where a Lewisham stop is necessary… My trains been canceled (usually because a worm or the like has wriggled within 100m of a signal box/​live rail) and there is no way for me to get home. Save from Lewisham and its sub-​par overground service the DLR.
When (not if) my train is cancelled, I have to get to Lewisham, either from DLR or on an unaffected overground train (if there are any). From here I grab the trusty, wiggly, unstable 89 bus all the way home.
I have nothing against Lewisham, I just don;t like being there because of what’s happened before. I’d love to give it more, I’m just too full of rage :(

I found it to be reasonably clean and presentable, for a London Station. The staff were very helpful and polite. I shall be using that station again

Nice small station with ample ammenities. Nothing excessive and functions well. The actual train is painstakingly slow though.
