Lost & Found

As an almost born and bred South West Londoner, my relationship with Balham has always been mixed. On the surface this corner of the capital has much to offer — a sprinkling of restaurants, a quirky café or two and a spot on the Northern line! But much like that up and coming film that everyone is raving about, I’m still struggling to see what all the fuss is about when it comes to SW12. So it was with a slightly heavy heart — a bit dramatic I know! — that I agreed to meet a friend for dinner and drinks in this very postcode. To maximise my chances of a good evening out I suggested we start the night at Franco Manca — a known quantity — before heading off to happy hour at Lost & Found. I won’t let this review drag on into a full second paragraph, so let me just say this. Genuinely tasty cocktails + hobbling distance from aforementioned pizzaria = at least two good reasons to check out this cosy joint. Throw a cheesy soundtrack into the mix, and that bumps it up to three! The atmosphere was a bit lacking — granted — but maybe you can’t have everything.

Small yet cute and laidback bar in london. showed up with a friend to grab a drink and were quite entertained by the patrons. Seemed more of a local’s bar, nice music, drinks are big and prices are affordable.

Can not give this place enough praise if you want to come to a great pre or just drink in a cocktail bar with happy hour in full swing cone here. Drinks amazing bar staff are amazing and very approcable just come down and try one

So my brother has recently moved to South London and as I have to work in my company’s London offices tomorrow, I have taken the opportunity to come to visit my brother’s new pad.
On meeting my brother at Balham station he asked if I fancied going straight to his or to a bar for a drink. I gave him a look that said «surely you know your sister by now» and the next thing I know we’re walking into a bar.
It’s quite a small place so imagine it gets busy at the weekends. But for a Tuesday night it was perfect. Only one other group
in there.
The barman was really friendly and made really good suggestions. I went for an old fashioned. It was really good as an old fashioned should be. My brother had some concoction made up on the spot. It was was a really nice cocktail, whatever it was,
For those reading this from Manchester, it’s the sort of place that would fit well in the northern quarter.
Definitely will come back here next time I’m in this part of London.

Friendly staff, great music and Happy hour cocktails from 5−8pm everyday. You can’t go wrong! My favourites are the ‘Asterix’ and ‘Responsibly’ — try them out! It’s a small place so if you want a table get there early.
