Manorom Too

I walked in when I passed by as I saw a huge board said «Thai Restaurant». It was clearly a wrong decision. It’s definitely the worst Thai food I’ve ever had before. Not authentic at all. It’s more like Americanized Chinese food. The owners look like Cantonese. I don’t understand why they add a whole bottle of oyster sauce into the stir fried vegetable, making it unbelievably salty.
I tried to order another typical Thai food to get something reasonable, but it was clearly a wrong decision. The green curry beef is just pouring some curry bought from supermarket into beef. Nothing like the taste of green curry. He beef is not tender at all. I’ve been to Thai restaurants in Asia and North America, but have never seen people who don’t know how to cook Thai food run a Thai food restaurant. I cannot understand why there are still some patrons here. I bet all of them are new customers who just pass by and will never come back.
The only upside is that the girl add water for me. The ambience looks nice, and the menu looks like reasonably priced (dinner set menu £17, cheap lunch set menu). Most customers are local. Some couples come for a romantic dinner — I hope the food won’t destroy their romantic dates.
In short, come of you just want some cooked meat, but don’t come if you want to taste Thai food.
