This is the first and only Palestinian café I’ve ever been to and I love it. Great home made dishes very fresh and delicious. beautiful and friendly service. My favorite dish was the chicken musakhan.

Absolutely phenomenal service and solid Palestinian food. I’m no expert on Palestinian food, so can only say that my prawns dish was well done — nicely cooked with flavourful sauce. What made this restaurant truly stand out was the service. About seven of us had to leave the restaurant next door, because they were going to charge us for some of us who couldn’t make it. The moment we walked in, they were quick to take our orders and serve us. Then, when we were the only ones left at the restaurant, they let us hook up our own playlist to the speaker and have a private party of sort. When time to pay came and the bunch of us were going through(what wasn’t supposed to be) complicated math, they were patient and not imposing at all. Finally, when we were waiting for our cabs outside, they even invited us to sit and wait on their bench instead! I really appreciate businesses with owners of good heart. I’d definitely recommend this place for an all-around great experience.

Absolutely delicious food, a firm favourite. The vegetarian platter is a godsend for lunch, with falafel, shakshouka, various veggie patty things, hoummos and salad. Delicious, properly mint-y mint tea too. Unlike almost everything else in London — do check it out if you’re in the area(although if you just want a falafel wrap, go to the blue tent further down the street ;).

This is a fantastic café — I often travel here for lunch from my work nearby for a fresh and tasty meal that won’t break the bank in these credit crunch times. The food is homecooked and made that day by the smiling and super-friendly owners, who appear to be a large and friendly family! I would recommend any of the salads, but for something more substantial there are some great grilled fish and meat dishes. Coffees here are first class as well, there are plenty of sweets to choose from if you need a sugary boost to get through the afternoon. This is a lovely area to wander around once you’ve stuffed yourself full of food!

Possibly the only Palestinian café in London, this is a real find. Maramia has been around for about a year now and is one of my regular haunts for a healthy lunch. The food is homecooked, fresh and delicious. The choice is fairly limited, but the mixed plate(only found out today that this constitutes a typical Palestinian breakfast) is made up of half a dozen vegetarian delicacies. More substantial options are grilled fish or chicken. The interior started off fairly bland but is taking on an increasingly homely feel. Very obviously a family business with three generations helping out; the kids taking on the role of entertainers.
