Maroush makes one of the top shawarmas in London. It’s surprisingly difficult to find a good quality shawarma, even in Edgware Road where there are so many. To make a good shawarma you need to have a few simple but good ingredients and Maroush delivers. Bread, good. Pickle, good. Chicken, good. Garlic sauce, good. Shawarma, very good! They also add a tomato which isn’t needed but is ok. The takeaway service here is quick and I will definitely be back!

Lousy service., rude staff., inaccurate timing… Online it show they are open up to 2am on week days on the shop they have a brochure saying 1am but they were closed before 12am & didn’t seem to care…

Modern environ for good Lebanese food. Particularly enjoyed the lamb shank with rice and the warm hummus with lamb. Service slightly slow on the mains but overall a good experience.

God damn the food is good here. I popped in once without a reservation… I did not get one in advance because the person who answered the phone at Maroush told me I did not need a reservation for the main floor. When I got there, all tables were full! I told them that I was disappointed b/c I was told there would be space when I called. The hostess was very kind and got me a table where the reservation was not for another 1 hr. She worked with us to make sure we did not feel rushed at all. As for the food… OMG…to die for! I love Lebanese food but this food was on a different level. Very flavorful and cooked to perfection. Love their mixed grill, spicy lebanese salad, and lamb/rice, to name a few. I have gone back several times!

It’s really good restaurant, fast service but it’s more expensive than any other Lebanese shop in edgware road

Great lebanese food! Huge servings! Lots of choice! I hope you are hungry when you come here, because the servings are massive! Each plate has 3 very large skewers of meat with salad and bread. We ordered the chicken taouk and the kafta meshwi with some sides of hommous and fatoush salad. Everything hit the spot! We wouldve liked the garlic sauce to be more potent, but it did the job!

I don’t know how to rate this place, honestly. The waiters’ attitude was a huge disappointment. They carry this rude middle eastern attitude with them. I don’t think I saw anyone laughing except the 2 server girls. First I got only the food menu and when I asked whether they serve alcohol here or not, they brought the drinks menu. It didn’t have Prosecco in there which I saw while waiting by the bar. When I asked the waiter said they have it, but it’s not mentioned in the menu. Duh! Why? Anyway, ordered good and the hot messes were cold by the time I got them. Oh and the Prosecco, I forgot I ordered one because by the time it was actually served, I was already done with half of my meal. The food wasn’t too great either. And I would strongly advise to avoid this place. Not pram/stroller friendly.

I love Lebanese food and this place does excellent traditional dishes. A bit pricey for my liking and the service is lacking but other than that I cannot fault this place. I could happily eat here once or twice a week ;-))

You won’t leave hungry… Make sure to order any of the shawarma wraps from their bar menu(you may have to ask for this, unless you eat at the bar) & have a look in their main menu as well, the fattoush was fantastic — packed with flavour, made fresh on the spot by the bar. This was my second time at this Maroush location & it was consistently delicious. Prices are reasonable, especially if you order the wraps & the service was efficient & un-rushed.

This is a great lunch spot. You get a shwarma wrap for about £7 quid and the humus and baba ganoush are top quality. I love this spot for a quick, casual sit down, lunch.

I love this place, mega central and cheap as chips if you know what to order. Go in and ask to sit at the bar by the grills, order a lamb shawarma and some humuous and you’ll be a satisfied customer spending less than £10. It’s quick, good quality and cheap, highly recommend. Note: I’ve never had a big olé sit down meal in there.

I’ve been there twice so far and the experiences were good, in particular the quality of the food. The interior of the restaurant doesn’t look fancy though, and on my last visit, they did not know about my reserved table(although I booked over the web site and got a reservation confirmation!) — this was not really a problem, since they had some free tables anyway. I certainly will go there again.

Okay just because I got light food poisoning here(twice) doesn’t mean it’s bad. After all I have eaten here four or five times without incident. It is only when I took a take away Swarma that trouble ensued. Otherwise its nice Lebanese/arabic food. I think my firm actually hired this place out for a client function once which was success. A good time was had by one and all.

Rude service, mediocre food and to top it off instant coffee. Avoid at all cost.

I have only given this lousy restaraunt a 1 as qype doesnt have a facility for 0. What a suprise to read that others have also witnessed the aggressive, ill mannered waiters. I actually got past first base unlike the other reviewer and managed to taste the food. It confirmed what i already knew from another maroush chain i was also forced to visit. These restaraunts serve appalingly bad tasting food, served poorly and with waiters who cant wait to push you out of the door. The rice arrived in a small cereal bowl with no other plate to eat it from. The other dishes were rushed in. Lukewarm reheated kebabs, diced so small they looked like they were kiddie servings and the fattoush tasted like cat vomit. The maroush chain of restaraunts do the lebanese cusine a great disservice and its a shame rents are so high on edgeware road and other more genuine lebanese restaraunts are excluded at the hands of this old outdated and poor chain

I have never in my life been more shocked at such bad service. We arrived fairly late, myself and 4 friends only to be treated like dirt. For goodness sake, in the tough economic times if you go to a restaurant wanting to spend your hard earned money, you would think they would actually welcome you. Firstly, the restaurant was empty with at least 5 waiters standing around doing very little. We get greeted by a very blunt question. Are we having starters?? Ummm no we didnt think so. Then we cannot sit at a table. But the entire restaurant is empty we say. it doesnt matter. If you dont have starters, you cant sit at a table. That should have been a sign for us to run for the hills. But we were after being shoved into a tiny corner by the bar and some menus thrown in front of us, we tried to beg for a table once again. Alas, no luck. And then things got even worse. There was a table next to us where a couple was seated. And because we were squashed liked sardines, one of my friends’ seats kept on banging into the couple’s chairs. Next thing, I know the couple have picked a fight with us… and we get very promptly ‘thrown out’. Oh but wait… I nearly forgot the most important bit. The smallest female of our party then gets manhandled by the doorman and told that somebody has to pay for our food. yes the food we hadnt even seen let alone tasted. I am still in shock over the whole incident. All I can say is stay clear of this place at all costs!!!

Busy shopping around Bond Street, and need a break to relax those aching feet. Maroush V is the place! Great lebanese wraps made freshly in front of you, if your sitting at the bar. The whole menu is mouth watering and so is the food. On Wednesdays they have live music with belly dancing. They have a very professional polite service staff who are always with smiles. This particular maroush does have a large seating capacity, so going in groups is no trouble at all. Best of all if your partying and clubbing over the weekend and crave a snack, this place is open till 5.00 am. Yey! I like the large fire lamps at the entrance; a bold and dominating grand feature to the street.

Great place, I like Lebanese food and this place has some great food. The Hummus was fantastic one of the best tasting I’ve had. Some of the other varieties we had where great to even the Okra which I don’t generally like tasted very nice. The service is great and staff are friendly. Been to this location a few times and have always been pleased with food and service. A bit on the expensive side but worth it. On special occasions you are treated with a big plate of fruit free of charge. Would recommend.

Simply lovely food, elegant looking place, we had a beautiful baba ganoush, outstanding okra in terrific tomato sauce, sublime spicy salad, four marvelous meatballs, all fabulous flavours. And all this just off Oxford Street, why go to Mac D’s when your shopping when you can eat this delightful stuff. I see they even have belly dancing in the evenings.
