This bridal shop is as pretty as the dresses — beautiful dark wood floors, expose brick, and loads of natural light. I first visited Morgan Davies when located up on Cross Street and from that first experience with my best friends, knew that the kind service and modern dress selection would bring me back when it was time for me to enter the wedding dress process. With mom in town, it was time. Morgan Davies was of course the first place I made an appointment. And it was… nice. The new shop is stunning with lush fitting rooms, but where as other bridal shops immediately exude warmth, this one seemed much more«in-and-out» orientated rather than relationship building. Now in fairness, I know I’m not going to marry my wedding dress consultant, but it’s a pretty big decision and it’s nice to find someone who really wants you to be happy! I walked in, picked five dresses, tried them on, walked out. I don’t know… maybe that’s how some people like to do it, but in other shops I really enjoyed getting dress suggestions from the consultant, having her fluff over my hair, shoes and accessories and really get in there with the pins and needles for some mock-fittings. And if I remember correctly, this is the exact experience I had at the previous Morgan Davies location. Meh… maybe I just came on an off day?
