Chef Morgan Meunier, born in 1974, opened his own restaurant, Morgan M, in Islington in September 2003. Since then, the restaurant has established itself as one of the top restaurants in London. Morgan M is renowned for its modern French menu featuring delicate flavours created from luxury French ingredients. The restaurant’s speciality is its 6-​course tasting menus; ‘The Menu’ and ‘From the Garden’, catering for vegetarians (Time Out guide 2010 voted as Best Meat-​free French), but an à la carte is also available. Menus change seasonally, with spring dishes including chilled cucumber gaspacho with mint sorbet; carpaccio of diver-​caught scallops with asparagus spring salad, horseradish cream and a lime dressing; steamed gnocchi, asparagus cream, summer truffle and girolles cappuccino. A new dessert has been created of millefeuille of macaroons with strawberry and white chocolate mousse, and strawberry sorbet.
