Best place to buy the best pasta — Garofalo!

I decided to go lately for my wedding lunch time and will only state that this place is extraordinary, Celeste, mouth watering, exciting. There doubtless aren’t enough adjectives to describe this places grace. we’d starters, mains and desserts and all four folks had next to nothing to complain about, for my children, saying a lot and we were still communicating concerning how good that it was this morning. Our cashier was talkative and shared his view on the menu which can be something I completely respect and the chef became available to communicate to us that’s something If only more places would do mainly because it shows an interest and appreciation in the customers. Service was friendly and experienced too. A wine was recommended to suit the dishes we had chosen and bread, butter and water was proferred rapidly. Mains included many different dishes, I don’t recall what everyone had as we started sharing food which includes a delighted promiscuity. Being properly reliable, I assume this is often my new favourite restaurant.

Excellent local deli if somewhat pricey. I love their cheese selection especially the Stilcheston. There used to bw some superb Normandy crème freche too which was superb with strawberries etc.

A very cute little deli that my friend took me to recently, they have a delectable range of harder to find artisan products that they’ve obviously put a lot of love into procuring. Because of the efforts put the choice of preserves, meats and cheeses here, expect to pay more than average, but know that you have a quality product that’ll be a conversation-​starter.
I have bought the Scherzerino salami here, which is produced by a small family in Italy (the staff love to give you the background to the products) and the St Marcelin cheese from Lyon which we warmed in the oven and served as a starter with bread. I’d also like to try the Feyel-​Artzner duck foie gras. At £11.95 it’s another tasty and reasonable way to liven up your evening meal!

A small business that strives away from the ordinary, to offer quality products and unique, things you wouldn’t normally find in the supermarket. You can tell they make an effort to source from real artisans local or from abroad. The shop has been around for over a decade and their main goal has never been compromised.
Crammed with speciality foods from around the world, many of which are exclusive to them.
They stock an extensive range of cheeses, breads, oil and charcuterie, as well as a selection of fun foodie gifts such as the world’s most expensive jam and chocolates inspired by the Kama Sutra!
I can’t afford to shop here every day but with the holidays so close, why not spend a £10 on white truffle oil? or £7 on Lebanese fruit syrups? These are great to give a fruity flavour to a dish, with just a dash you can turn yesterday’s left overs into a new dish.
Finally, as you would expect from a shop like this one, staff is knowledgeable and always there with handy cooking suggestions.

Mortimer and Bennett are often listed by chefs such as Nigella Lawson and Sophie Grigson as the best deli in London. This little shop is like the Aladdin’s Cave to anyone who is remotely foodie. Gorgeous plump olives and tasty legs of ham adorn the counter along with an exciting array of cheeses and fresh breads. This was the only shop I could find that sold Marron Glacé, which puts it at the top of my league.
If you are cooking a romantic dinner or wanting to have a canapes selection for a dinner party, this is the place to start. It is pricey, but you are paying for top class quality produce.
You will find it difficult to find a deli in London to top this one.

Mortimer & Bennett are in my opinion the best food shop in London. They always have very varied but always delicious food from all over the world. They are always knowledgeable in regard to their products and are happy to recommend new tasty foods to try and they usually advise how to cook the foods you buy and what to eat them with. The only downside to the shop is that it is very cramped & usually very busy — sometimes with people waiting outside to go in. This can only be a good sign!

This is one of the best delis in London. Cheeses are from both Neals Yard and a decent French supplier, and the olives are good, as are the cold meats. For a small, cramped shop there is an excellent selection of items e.g. Jabugo ham, OO flour. Breads are from Sally Clarke. Service is friendly

Good quality deli in the heart of Chiswick — sits in the same stretch that also boasts a local fishmonger, greengrocers & butcher — not often you see that anymore in London. Stocks a variety of high quality deli produce in startling variety, e.g. nearly 100 different types of cheese. They also have some «exclusives» e.g. sole UK importer for La Maison du Miel honey from France.
Teeming with lots of organic & indepedently sourced items, prices are high but you don’t feel you’re being asked to pay a needless premium.
