This branch of NatWest is the closest branch to the London School of Economics (LSE), and thus contains a specialised student service centre — which can be very useful for new and recurring students who need to discuss overdrafts and international money transfers.
There are two ATMs outside the branch, with a deposit machine inside the branch. There are 5 tellers, which is usually enough unless you go during peak hours, e.g. lunch time. During those hours, the reps usually help you fill in the paper-​based cheque submission form to reduce the number of people waiting in queue.
Especially for students studying nearby, this branch offers free accounts with a Solo debit card (not Maestro or Visa though, unlike paying accounts with HSBC and etc.). You can apply for a credit card with a 500 pound credit limit after a year or so.
