Tried this place for some breakfast this morning. The coffee was pleasant, but not amazing like the ambiance of the place suggests it’s going to be. The food was also ok; muesli yoghurt was nice but a bit sharp, biscuity thing was ok. I thought the service was lacking, staff seemed pretty disinterested. Also, none of the cakes or biscuits were labelled. It generally felt like they weren’t meeting their true potential.

The coffee is very good and prepared skilfully although always served slightly colder than normal. This place is however is severely let down by service: this is a classic example of copy paste approach to the American rustic and hip coffee shop ambience you can find in US coasts but without the service. There is a very limited number of tables and a long table downstairs near the toilet and kitchen doors always smelling of urinal deodorant. If you want to take out coffee the staff are unfriendly and never recognise you even if you’re a regular customer. It feels like the place was started with good intentions and then is now run by a group of teenagers always giggling between themselves don’t giving a sh*** about the customer, service and repeat business. 2 stars for the beans and the barista.

Lovely quality coffee, pretty good if you’re on the go or maybe just chill for a moment and enjoy the atmosphere. Food is pretty expensive but nice stuff. Go there for the coffee though.

After walking past this place almost every day, thought it was about time, I gave it a go. Was keen to try some filter coffee, so went for the El Salvador, but at three pounds for a filter, I thought it was more than a little overpriced.

With a big following under its previous name, Tapped & Packed, No.26 oozes oodles of hipster charm in such a small place. Serious coffee snobs will love the range of drip, aeropress and brewed luscious drinks carefully prepared by passionate baristas. I loved the ambience of this place and its wooden interior, however the seats are slightly awkward and made for singles or couples. The drop lighting located at the back of the café, certainly looks stylish, but it not a pleasant experience. It feels like you are being interrogated as well as kept warm by an incubator like a baby chicken. The pre-made sandwiches and salads are great for on the go people, however, I was disappointed to find the baguette dry and tough, instead of crunchy and fresh. The salads were fresh and green but nothing to rave about. All in all, great coffee and ambience.
