History

Established in 2006.

Noodle Oodle was first established in June

2006 on Oxford Street, London. We are the first Chinese restaurant in London to serve freshly made hand-​pulled noodles with a philosophy to focus on healthy eating in a clean and casual setting.

Our menu also offers a delightful selection of Shanghainese dim sum and stir-​fried dishes. Following it’s success at Oxford Street, the second branch of Noodle Oodle was opened in 106 Queensway in May 2008. Noodle Oodle Queensway, offers a tailored Shanghainese cuisine to extend this cuisine to the Muslim community.

This is done by replacing pork-​based ingredients with Halal chicken and we are now the first Chinese restaurant in the UK to serve Halal Shanghainese cuisine.

Very bad experience. The waiters are so rude. We asked for service several times but nobody responds. Food there are also too salty or plain. I won’t suggest my friend to go there.

Duck is really good here… Get the roast duck and rice, not the soup one. eat here often and i suggest doing family style, order the duck and some side dishes. the fish is good, the squid is good and the beef dishes. the kang kung is awesome and the long beans are good…
just had a family style meal, cost £12 per person we were all full!

Food was decent. The duck came out almost cold which was dissapointing but it was flavorful. The flat noodles were quite good. Awful service. The owner (i think) pressures you to buy stuff quickly — he’s pretty impatient and seems to do a poor job of managing because his staff walk around aimlessly.

I was so disappointed in this place. It was recommended by a friend and I have to question his judgment now. I had the stir fry beef with ginger and onion. It was not good. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing, but the beef sounds basic and I don’t know how they could make it not tasty. And it is stupid that food doesn’t come with rice.

I have only visited this restaurant once so this review is only a first impression and I did not try the noodles. I tried the Fook Kin rice which was delicious and a very generous portion. Their roast duck is succulent and prepared by the restaurant themselves. Overall the menu gives a good range and the food is above average but not quite exceptional.

The dang dang noodle is actually not what it seems.
First of all I found it bizarre that a Caucasian gentleman was making my dish. What’s that all about? I wasn’t going to place that in the factor of this review until I tasted said dish.
I understand its Halal so there is no pork in my ma po dang dang whatever it was. But there was also no flavor. The noodles themselves, hand pulled, were fine. The soup was bland. Its supposed to be spicy, that’s the nature of this type of dish from my understanding. That they did not give me. And then they gave me some pieces of bland white meat chicken as well.
The price is just fine. But not worth a second trip.

Good price, good food, ok service. Love doing take away from here. When I was in london, we went here like 3 times. Really loved the wonton soup. Noodles are great. They are freshly hand made right in the restaurant. You can watch them make it.

Tried the beef chow fun and a noodle soup dish. These dishes were alright but we also ordered a red bean pastry and it was really soggy and tasted a bit undercooked and greasy.
The best part of this place is the screen at each table where you can take funny pics and play trivia games. They let you email the pictures to yourself as well.

I ordered the dumpling lamien which had a decent broth but the noodles tasted bland and a bit undercooked, the dumplings where ok but tiny.
Not really sure you get what you pay for with the main courses which are kind of small so make sure to get plenty of rice if your hungry.
The service is ok but could be better, the good thing is that they are fast. Apparently you cannot pay with a credit card that does not have a pin and chip, I tried explaining that I paid the night before with my AMEX and for some reason they kept insisting that wasn’t the case so I had to leave the restaurant to pull out cash from the ATM.
Overall a quick fix if your hungry.

Two stars may be a tad generous for what my wife and I found here. The restaurant space was crowded and uncomfortable. The service was very poor. With the exception of being seated at our table, we had to flag down servers for everything — ordering, checking on our very slow food, getting our bill, paying our bill, getting change for the bill.
There are other Chinese places on the same block, and they’re better quality at better prices.

5 stars for this yeuch? Yeuch. C’mon guys. If you want better then (dons flameproof jacket) Ping Pong on Westbourne Grove is best place around here.
The (only) good thing — they make the dough in full view, entertaining as they flail great big ropes of stuff hither and thither.
However it was bland, stodgy, and my pak choi had quite a few inexplicable crispy things on it. I thought it might have been bacon but the waitress (when she came) said they were «vegetarian».
Mmm great. They looked and tasted like falling detritus from the cooker hood, but at least they were vegetarian. Now I can sleep soundly zzz.

I thought this was just another Chinese place, but got confused when everything was made of chicken. To me, the dumplings (in dim sum and soup form) just didn’t taste right or particularly good without the pork. So unless you are actually looking for halal food, go to one of the «real» Chinese restaurants down the street.

Despite the irritating self-​service screens on each table replaying Gordon Ramsey trying to pull noodles, the service is friendly and fast.
The beef noodles (La mian) are the best I’ve found in London. It’s a bit dear at 7.20GBP for a steaming broth of fresh noodles, though it tastes authentic and it beats going all that way to Beijing.

The food turned out better than I expected. Had a Northern style won ton noodle soup. The soup was light and clear and tasted fresh ie no MSG. The won tons were filled with chopped cabbage, pork and Ginger and tasted fresh. The noodles were hand pulled wheat ones. Good to note that they are halal too. Worth trying!
