I don’t get the negative reviews of this gym. I mean, it’s not particularly luxurious but it’s not expensive either. It’s had plenty of machines and weights, I don’t usually have to weight (no pun intended) for either. There is a pool and a clean changing room, café, functioning and full sports drinks vending machine, free towels and wifi. Best of all, there are a lot of classes and they are really good. What more do you want for the money?

Decided to use this gym after realising it wasn’t too far and it has a pool. I’ve subsequently cancelled my other membership to join this gym.
The facilities are a little older but it’s a large gym, not terribly busy when I go and nice staff.

Only go there if you must, you can get a decent cardio workout, but classes are always booked out by the time you get there and the free weights area is virtually non-​existent as its so small, and the equipment is very old and falling apart and you can never find the right dumbells they always go walkabout and can not be found its a mystery.
The weights area is so tiny (you can never complete a routine you always miss one part of your routine so you cant get a balanced pull/​push routine which is very bad for your long term muscularskeletal system) and its a shame becuase we all know the best way to burn fat is through weight training :(
Finally, management are just not really bothered. I had an admin problem with my membership and theyve promised to sort it but its onlgoing for months now, looks like i’ll be paying an extra month (£61 for me) for nothing
But to be fair, its walking distance from my house so thats why I’ll go back. Unless Fit First refurbish their gym down the road in which case I’m outta here

I’ve been a member of Nuffield Health in Willesden for the past 2 years and I would strongly NOT recommend it. During my membership period I have seen many issues which still happens from time to time like for example, no toilet paper for several days, lack of cleaning specially in the morning, the showers smell bad, no towels and even know they have replaced «some» of the old equipment and refurbished the changing rooms (with the most cheapest items you can possibly get), it is still not worth it as the manager couldn’t care less about it all. Things are VERY poorly maintained — if maintained at all. When something breaks, even the simplest things like a lamp for example, it stays that way for a long time. I tried to complain many times without success, nothing ever gets resolved, nothing is their fault and they can’t tell you it won’t happen again because it certainly will and in the very next day!
Really the way they treat you makes you feel that you own they a favour for going there — even know you pay for it every month £56.
Once I had enough I decided to cancel my membership, so I asked reception how much notice I had to give and I was told that I had to cancel before the 17^th so that they can cancel the direct debit. So on the 3^rd of May I requested the cancellation, they accepted it but in the very next day they told me that THEY made a mistake and that it states in the T&C one calendar month notice and therefore I would have to pay for June. That is even know that the 3^rd of May was the 1^st working day of the month since 1^st was Sunday and the 2^nd was a bank holidays.
For all these reasons and others (I can go on all day) I do NOT recommend it.
