Did you know that this is a great, intimate and cosy place for one of the best and affordable wines around in London? I’ve mainly used this space for working as the café has excellent wifi and plugs pretty much everywhere. Coffee and food is fresh and they pride themselves on bringing quality food and drinks to you. But yes, their evening bar is currently one of their best kept secrets. Wine is so much more affordable and the owner is a wonderful sommelier. I love it here because everyone is really friendly, warm and no pretentious vibe whatsoever. I’m going to keep coming back for my alcohol and coffee fix here for sure.

It is easy to walk by Coffice and think that it is only for people who have rented a space in there to work, or just to miss it as you run to the Pret nearby like everybody else, but it would be a mistake not to check it out. Coffice has a really nice soup of the day along with some other simple but good food options such as roast chicken or a super yummy potato and broccoli in white sauce side. There are always a few interesting looking salads to choose from should you be in the mood and the raspberry chocolate biscuits they sell at the front are excellent quality. The soups I’ve tried were great, the carrot butternut was very creamy and the bread they serve with the soup is always great and comes with butter for that added yumminess. Compared to the other options in Old Street, I think Coffice’s food is original and tastes home-made in the best and most satisfying sense. They also have a points system which will get you a free coffee pretty quickly, score! I am really happy I found this place and I will continue to come for a nice, relaxing lunch with a book(or a laptop if you prefer, they have plugs).

I was excited to see this place open up on City Road. Coffice caters to mobile workers, offering seating with an abundance of power outlets and free wifi. I’ve sat for hours and only had them be super nice to me. Not once have I felt like I should order more or leave. Coffee…is excellent. Food…actually a pretty good selection. Simple breakfasts… pastries…eggs…granola. Lunches are soup and salads. Hadn’t tried them until today… but I’m pretty impressed. Definitely check this place out if you need a place to hang out with a laptop… or just get some coffee.

I still have to understand why this place is not always crowded, while people are queuing for half an hour at the Pret next to it. There is something wrong in you people, I mean really wrong. This is an awesome place. It has a good amount of seating, fast wifi, plugs(I mean plugs! no looking around like gold diggers with a cable in your hands, real plugs!!), one of the best coffee you can have and cookies. And everybody loves cookies! And if you come here for lunch the place is even better: both in case you want a take away or something inside, they have a big collection of different salads made with very fresh ingredients(and thinking people go get that shitty nicoise …) and you’ll surely find something you love! Oh and it’s cheap! And they take AM! And they have fidelity card with exceptional promotions! And! And! And! I mean seriously guys, do you need any other reason?! Get there, now!

Short version: good vibe, cozy space, good coffee. Long version, bear with me… :) I actually initially bookmarked this place after reading Colleen’s review(thanks Colleen) and decided to book a meeting there. And I have to say it’s pretty much exactly how Colleen describe it: amazing. I only stayed for an hour for my meeting and had an Iced Coffee… with milk. For the no-milk drinker that I am, that was a première to have a non-black ice coffee, a pleasant surprise and good experience. The barista was friendly, the waiter too, and these are always extremely important to me. Free wifi, handy if you want to spend the day there working. And I have to say that it really is a lovely spot to work. I may actually go back very soon and stay there the entire day!

I love this space. Love it. And what’s not to love. It’s a free coworking space. Every seat has a plug. There’s plenty of space for you to work by yourself or have a meeting with someone else. The wifi is strong. The coffee is strong. The service is friendly and they don’t mind if you sip a coffee all day while working. Also, register. They have a point system so for every coffee you buy, you can get free coffees or snacks or other things. It’s like the one they have at a Café Nero only you’re not at a Café Nero, you’re at a way better spot. I spent about five hours here and it was awesome. I would be back in a heartbeat.

Before we start: Papilles serves the BEST iced Americano I’ve literally ever tasted. Do they use cold fusion or something? I don’t know but it is DIVINE. The Frenchman making the coffee is a wizard. Papilles is the darling French café inside The Brew. The Brew is a network of co-working spaces and Papilles is in the prime location to serve the café(where I was) and the large co-working spaces with coffee, snacks, treats, salads, etc. And they do it VERY well. This location of the Brew is recently opened as is Papilles. I popped in to spend a day working, and was so impressed and loved the setup so much I stayed ALL day. Like they had to kick me out at close!(6pm). From coffees to lunch to late afternoon cake, they have it all. The salads were fresh and delicious, they have many options for coffee(but why do you need them I just told you the iced americano is the best ever!?) and the service is so friendly and welcoming. The space itself is setup to work. Long tables, lots of outlets, free strong wifi. Dream come true, right? Right. It shall be a regular haunt of mine when I need a break from the office life, if you are looking for a place to co-work or are just in need of a cup of coffee, this spot is legit. *accepts cards. *located inside The Eagle Building.
