I’ve used Paul and his Father Lewis for nearly ten years and never had any problems. They’re not always the cheapest but they are some of the best mechanics around other Yamaha dealers even end up sending bikes to them. They can sometimes come across a little abrupt if you don’t know them, but they actually they are honest, straight forward and very helpful. Besides numerous repairs, I’ve bought a few bikes from them as well with no problems.

I brought my Virago for check up as some grinding noise appeared and on the way back home disappeared. Paul Reeks promised to look at it and to call me with report. The call never came. When I called, Paul said he ordered parts as the bike«needs a new gear link and sprocket/chain kit». The cost would be £300. I never had any problem with gear change and the chain was replaced 2 years ago and nothing was wrong with it. It was amazing that Paul Reeks decided to by-pass me and impose on me some unnecessary repair and cost of £300 without even informing me about until it would be too late! When I told him over the phone he cannot make decision on my behalf, he nicely cut off the line. When I came to collect my bike, gear change and few other bits had been dismantled, but Paul Reeks did not bother to put it back. It was obvious that the bike wasn’t even checked properly, but the intention was to replace some parts and put £300 dosh into his pocket.
