History

Established in 1984.

Has practised in Notting hill since December 1984 after Maire Murphy, Podiatrist,

completed her residency in a practice in New York.

Before & after that she worked in various NHS posts initially in Northampton then around London as well as working for several private practices.

In 1994 she opened a practice in Christchurch, New Zealand specialising in troubleshooting

orthotic problems.

Business Owner

Maire Murphy has looked after the feet of Notting Hill since December 1984 when she opened Pembridge Practice having just completed a residency in a New York podiatry practice. She initially studied at The London Foot Hospital.

Her main area of specialisation is children’s feet but she also treats adults and is experienced in the treatment of foot problems arising from sports and dance. Over the years she has formed a good network of links to local osteopaths, physios and GPs having worked in a variety of multidisciplinary clinics. Her approach is to determine the underlying cause of the foot problem rather than just treating the symptoms.
