Food was burnt and tastesless as well as taking a very long time to arrive :(. Staff didn’t seem to worry much about this and seemed to be quite aggravated that I was complaining. Definitely a disappointment as it was nowhere near as good as other pizza expresses I have been to.

Got there close to 11PM and they stop serving at 1030, but it was my evening for pizza. Ordered the carbonara, it was excellent. Some red pepper on the side and don’t forget the garlic oil, it made the whole meal. Great service, nice atmosphere. Lots of Italians eating here; a good sign! Will be back for sure.

Came to this Pizza Express after a «bring the kids to work» day for their Christmas party. I am not a huge fan but as we were going with other families it made sense. It was busy so I guess that explains the staff. They weren’t quite rude but I got the impression they weren’t pleased to have kids. And I guess if I’m fair they wouldn’t get many being based in the city. So take this as a word of warning — don’t expect it to be as family friendly as other branches. The food was the usual pizza express standard — they are very consistent on the food front. There is nothing wrong with it but to me it’s the same as Pizza Hut — it’s all the same crap… it just comes down to which crap is better suited to your taste/cost band.

When I lived in London in Summer 2011, this was right around the corner from the flat my classmates and I stayed in. We walked in and WHOA was it packed. Somehow, the very nice hostesses were able to quickly seat our group of 4. I recall it being very crowded, but we all had a good amount of elbow room to wiggle around quite liberally. I remember we obtained some coupon deal online that was a 2 for 1 special. I think it’s a good place for university students and traveling students to get a good heavy meal without your wallet feeling too empty. The raspberry lemonade is definitely a winner in my book. Try it out and make sure you check for discounts! Until next time, don’t forget the… oh wait, they don’t tip in Europe. Well, don’t leave your umbrella behind. It’s always randomly raining in London.

Cardboard + shredded sawdust + red paint = Pizza Express. Thank goodness the Union Jack is flying no where near a pizzeria close to the Stars Stripes!

Quick courteous service and the pizza was pretty good. a bit thin but I thought it was good pizza. i would go back. I have no problems that it’s a chain. As a New Jersey pizza expert, this pizza was better than some places in the western USA, easily.

A typical Pizza Express in many respects and I do like the slick operation that they provide. Without going into every aspect of many standard parts of the well known Pizza Express operation, I can say that all of the usual good points were in place i.e. decent food for reasonable prices, nice wine etc. The only downsides that I can report on my visit here were that the service was rather offhand and the design of this particular branch made it really loud and clattery — do not come here to unwind!

I have never been overly impressed or underwhelmed with Pizza Express. The pizza is always good, but never fully filling if I come hungry. It’s not the cheapest place, but they usually have deals/vouchers. The service isn’t slow, but isn’t lightning quick by any stretch of the imagination. My best suggestion is get a London Taste card and come here with a buddy. Buy one get one free on appetizers and pizzas, it makes all the difference :-)

I always have found memories of pizza express! I reminds me of my best friends. When we eat out in this area, this is one of our usual places. And for the pizza? Their so yummy! They have a great selection of pizzas and salads. Salads i’m afraid aren’t that much of a healthy alternative, but still yum! This location has never been a great place if your in a hurry. Expect to wait 20 minutes to see a waiter once your sat. The scenario seems to be 80% of the time. But who cares if your not in a hurry!

This was my first ever trip to a pizza express and boy what a trip. The place was packed on a wednesday night so had a great atmosphere but thankfully we hardly had to wait for a table. Service was friendly and quick. For starters I had a lovely mushroom and bread soup thing… the name escapes me but it was top notch. For mains I had to try a pizza and salad combo and what a great choice. The salad was fresh and tasty witha great sauce while the pizza was tomatoy and not at all greasy with large toppings and bursting with flavour. Plus at only 500 calories I didn’t feel like crying afterwards. No, I saved my tears for dessert where i gorged on the huge Chocolate ice cream and brownie concoctionw hich went down a treat! Large pieces of brownie mixed in with real vanilla ice cream topped with a thick, choclaty sauce… divine! I shall be back here because it was good on the taste buds and not to bad on the old wallet either.

Pizza Express has become the daddy of high street pizza restaurants. They have literally taken over the high street of every London borough. I have eaten in Pizza Express on many occasions and I cannot fault them. The service is efficient, you know exactly what you are getting, and the standard never slips. The décor is comfortable and chic and you’d feel at home dressed up or casual. If you keep your eyes open they are always doing offers such as 2for1 or 10% off. In my view they are too commercial for a romantic meal, but perfect for business luncheons or meals with friends.
