All Pods virtually the same to me. Quick service and friendly. Always clean and has plenty of stock though it is popular so best not to turn up too late. Out of the ‘healthy’ lunch places this is my favourite franchise. Consistently good. Always get the protein box.

I go there most Saturday mornings on my way to my Spanish lessons to get a decent breakfast. It is generally very good food and the coffee is not bad either. There has been some recent instances where i was disappointed with the food but this issue has been sorted pretty quickly and nice food is back! On Saturday mornings, service is not the fastest but the breakfasts are well worth it!

I ate lunch at Pod a few times a week while I was studying in London. The best part of this location was that it was right across the street from where I had class — score! I love the staff here, since they are always so helpful and serve with a smile, despite how busy it gets here. I have tried many items off of their menu, but I usually ended up getting a Superfood Chicken Pod, or the sandwich and crisps deal. I will definitely say that although the Superfood Chicken Pod looks gross, it is SO good. It took me a while to finally try one, but once I did, I was addicted. Whenever I got the sandwich and crisps deal, the sandwich was always made with fresh ingredients and never gave me anything to worry about. When I first arrived in London, I was fighting a travel-induced cold, and so I ended up trying to help out my immune system at Pod. I got their chicken detox soup and one of the immune support blitzes. After having both of those for lunch one day, I was feeling ten times better the next day. Overall, a great find if you’re looking to avoid McDonald’s but need something quick, while staying healthy.

This place is great for a quick and easy healthy meal. However, the food is a bit expensive in my opinion and not as good as some of the other major chains in London such as Pret or Eat. I had the lemongrass chicken hot pod and was not impressed as it lacked flavor and tasted a bit glycerin-y to me. I had been here once before and felt the same way about the chicken soup I tried. The salads that were in the cold refrigerated section looked good as they had different ingredients than the warm dishes as the two dishes I had tasted the same and without flavor. If you have certain dietary restrictions this place is good with labeling and having multiple, easy options for those who are gluten-free and dairy-free.

Oooh this is the first time I’d been to a pod, and I like it. It is similar to pret, eat and lunch places of that ilk, but everything seems a little more healthy, and it little more expensive. HOWEVER, if you turn up in the last half an hour, they discount everything! That means you can get a yummy salad or giant sandwich for £2, rather than £4. I just wanted to grab a snack on my way to a Unilocal event, so this was perfect for me. I approve that they are trying to cut down on waste, and I approve that my pulled pork sarnie was less than £2. Yay!

I am not going to lie, if there had been a Wasabi close by, I would not have succumbed to the lure of the Pod but as it is, I was starving and close to shutting down. It looks a rather serious type of place and I wasn’t sure if I had the green credentials to allow me to pass off as a likely customerI spent a confused few minutes reading the board and got caught up in mind-chatter ‘ville trying to figure out what a soba was. I ended up grabbing not a soba from the chiller(the pot only served to remind me of what I could be having over at Wasabi) but a superfood salad. It looked very green, very healthy and very intimidating. Yes, I just said that. Anyhoo, with my mind almost made up I ventured to the counter. At this point, I was debating whether to just leave it and make a dash for the exit but give me a break, right! The guy at the till was very nice and sensing I was one confused mama informed me that I could have a taster of any of the hot if that would help me make up my mind. I said yes and tried a coconut bean curry which was offered in a cute little pot created especially for this purpose nice touch management. Within a gulp of the hot offering, I knew what I had to do and the superfood detox salad won. And it was absolutely delicious. Okay, maybe I didn’t think that as I was eating it being, as I was, overwhelmed by the wealth of health on my plate but it was very tasty. In fact, it is the first ‘take-out’ salad that I have ever had that tasted fabulous without the need for accompanying dressing. For a box of greens, it was also very filling and it was a job to finish it all off. This was a late lunch at around 2.30pm and it wasn’t until 10.30pm that I was remotely hungry enough to warrant eating again. A couple of points: There is an extra charge for eating in and this is not mentioned on the board. Maybe it is all that green branding but I felt the place /vibe could be ‘warmer’ and more inviting.

Definitely rate this place more than Pret or Eat– the hot meals are interesting– I had Bengali Bean curry. The yummy salads are a health boost. Not cheap but feels like you get something worth having.

A mate chose this a nice place to have a quick lunch near his work. It was busy but we were able to sit down without too much difficulty. The food selection seemed good: lots of fresh salads, wraps, hot foods, etc. Everything you would want as a lunchtime takeaway when you get bored of the sandwiches. I went for a Thai red curry & rice. It was labelled as «Medium hot» and had enough chilli for that to be true. The curry itself was tasty and fresh and the rice turned out to be wholegrain — a pleasant surprise. The whole thing was filling and I would go again. From the various posters around the place, Pod pride themselves on their green vision. With that in mind, I wish them the best of luck in making lunchtimes fresher and greener
