Pomona Organic Foods

I absolutely love this place and am often here stocking up on weekly staples. They have an amazing range of produce and products for such a tiny place.
One small gripe I have is when they shut down over holidays — no sign on the door, no message on their VM, no notification on FB as to when you can expect them to return? A bit strange to be honest… I have experienced this two different times of the year, and I have walked there out of my way countless times only for them to be closed. I haven’t had an issue with this at any of the other independent shops in Belsize Park or Hampstead. Just seems like a very small courtesy they could provide to their customers to let them know holiday opening hours.

Delightful staff I mean very nice (even to me)
Veg good except avocados which are variable
Greengages are sublime (mouth watering)
Selection of bread brill!
Croissant and pain au chocolate more than acceptable & I am very picky Overall a great shop, if reassuringly expensive but the fruit is real (unlike in the supermarket where its raw).

I love this neighbourhood fruit/​veg/​flower/​deli shop. Really has a lot of products considering the size. Quality and organic products, plus diary/​wheat/​gluten free.
Can be expensive but you get what you pay for. Staff are super friendly and helpful.

I’m really glad to have Pomona in my stomping ground, it saves me a massive trip to Wholefoods for some of the simple things (organic fruit and veggies).
Tip: the organic fruit and veg are inside, most of the stuff outside is conventionally grown unless it says otherwise.

A great local deli with a wide selection. and lots of delicious fresh produce. Helpful staff. The only shortcoming is a lack of fresh cheese or hams, but there’s not much room in the shop. Anyway, this is a local institution.

An outstanding food/​deli store with a very positive attitude. The accent is on organic and there is loads to choose from — meat, cheese, packet food, but the selection of vegetables and fruit is quite superb, as is the selection of organic wine which takes up a wall at the back. The staff are attentive and always on hand to help and the pricing structure is very competitive. It’s almost impossible to walk past the place such is the size colour of the fresh produce display outside. A real gem
