Meat market of all meat markets. Well, at least in this hood. And second to Agenda, which is sleaze haven. So we headed to «vodka revs», as my colleagues affectionately term this venue, after a brief in and out of Agenda, which was packed for happy hour, filled with red lighting reminiscent of a strip joint, playing 70s disco tunes, and reeked of vom at 7:30pm on a Fri evening. Two levels to vodka revs. A bar with pop music upstairs and a lounge playing house downstairs. Would have much preferred the pop to have been played downstairs as no one, except my group of 4 girls, was dancing at all upstairs. Everyone was going IN downstairs, and if you’re into house, this is the place you want to be for a good dance scene, but the downstairs lounge music was just meh in my opinion. Upstairs DJ was having some technical difficulties(with the perhaps CD driven system?) the night I was there but the music was decent and he kept my crew dancing. Cocktails were delicious. Shot stick of flavored vodka shots even better. You can choose from some interesting flavors, like salted caramel popcorn, pancake syrup, Bakewell tart and chilli, most of which were cloyingly sweet, but if it’s that kinda night it’s all good. Overall, if you’re prepared to deal with some lecherous drunkies, this is a great place for a girls night out!

Great place for a quick drink after work, this is a stylish place with loads of seating and happy hour. Buy 1 get 1 half price, kaaaachinnnggg! Their porn star martinis are the best. Good value for money. Watch it transform into a nightclub on Friday and Saturday nights, the music is also good, and a spacious dancefloor in the basement.

Hmm, I usually like Revs, but the start of the evening wasn’t the smoothest I have to say. Firstly we were given the wrong table(dining table on the mezzanine level). As a result, a quite aggressive member of staff(one of those clipboard people that usually show you to your table with a smile) asked us to move to the correct table(without even apologising for her colleague giving us the incorrect table to begin with). It then took forever to order our drinks from the waitress — not impressed. Ok, there is something positive in this review — the food! They’ve recently added some changes to the menu and definitely for the better. I got a pizza(generous size) with«suicide sauce»(that’s right — one spicy, spicy chilli sauce — not for the faint hearted, but if you can handle the heat, definitely recommend it). Of course the usual shot collection was available — with some added new flavours. Worth a visit if you haven’t been before.

Went to the opening of the newly refurbished bar. Not sure whether it was the place or my friends but I had a fantastic night. Very OTT and very busy but not pretentious or uncomfortable at all. I should probably try it again to compare. The marketing manager calls me regularly to offer good deals etc — great customer service.

The only reason this place gets a third star is its late license and the fact that it occupies a former bank and therefore has cool décor with access to the former bank’s vault which is now a private area that can be booked. the music in here is way too loud, it has the usual dodgy door staff and the sort of clientele you’d normally cross the road to avoid. But when you’re in the area on a Friday night and the quiet pub you were in just closed, this is one of the few choices you have to continue the fun. Except really you’re better off just getting the tube or night bus home than you are paying the fiver they charge to get into here.

Yes they refurbished recently and yes, it looks less… filthy, but it’s still crammed — it took me 10 minutes to get from one end of the bar to another all the while being squashed, pushed and erm. hit on(though I didn’t mind the latter :) Now, the place looks great now — tall ceilings though always been there — now are a lot more emphasised, and it just generally looks cleaner. More defined table service area means more people are happily seating and sipping their drinks but at the same time they make that pathway from one end to another even narrower. The bar service is very efficient though — I suspect on City nights(i.e. Thu and Fri) they put more people behind it — which means you don’t have to wait to be served for longer than 7 – 10 minutes. It does the trick for after-work happy hour drinks, but sadly they have got to do something with controlling the amount of people that come in.

Visited on Friday evening/night — no queue in front of the door(as it is on Saturdays) — entrance fee: 5.0 per person — nice, modern bar with separate seating area on the first floor(sitting on a galery with nice view on the bar) — friendly service — we did not try the food; you can order food until 10.00 pm — great variety of vodka/shots — good music — non-alcoholic drinks/cocktails taste well, too — fair prices It is a nice bar to have a after-work drink on Friday evening/night!

Cavernous drinking venue occasional live music as well. Unsurprisingly popular with a City crowd, and a wide selection of nasty vodkas.

Having lived in Las Vegas, I am used to hot nightlife and all that comes with it and after hearing sooooo many good things about Revolutions I was very disappointed. Dont get me wrong, the club itself is pretty neat, again I know there are better lighting & sound systems out there but Revolutions passes there. Its the service and security crew that got to me. Me and a bunch(about 8 of us, Americans) walked in(no cover btw) on a Friday night around 11ish hoping for a slew of people and a nice crowd of girls. No so much… We walked to the downstairs«club» and asked the bartender to get us set up with a table and bottles. Took a little longer then I was used to having partied in San Francisco, Philly, and Vegas but we eventually got the table. Originally they put us by the bathrooms in the corner all alone, we were confussed and asked to be moved closer to the dance floor and the action… Also, took about 15 minutes before a server came over to take our bottle order(we ordered 2 goose and 2 champ right off the bat) and then another 15⁄20 minutes to get the bottles… A little fustrating… Also note, by the end of the night we had over a 1,000USD tab(ordered more bottles) and had tipped about 300+ USD to various staff… Our server who I think was also a bartender never came back to our table to check on us and our mixers/juices were never refilled… We had to go to the bar ourselves to have them filled. Whats the point of «Table Service»?! After that, the night went well, we were drinking, talking to people and having fun until the club closed. We were ready to leave and finish our drinks but the staff(except the bartender I might add, forget his name, really cool guy) was being very rude and as we noticed only to our table/group of people and another group of Americans(we talked to earlier in the evening) who also had a table in the downstairs section of the club… Anyway, I wont go on and on but they allowed us to finih out bottle upstairs since there was ¼ left so we took it upstair only to be stoped and questioned very aggressivly at the top of the stairs by another security guy… We gave the bottle up at that point s it wasnt a big deal but the other guy told us we could take it up and finish it as only the downstairs they wanted cleared out. We ended up leaving and catching a taxi back to the hotel. I would rate the club at 2.5÷3 stars out of 5. I would recommend it but not for table/bottle service. Only for a bar crawl or night of hopping around… And I would only go again if I had one of my Brit friends with me.

This place was right around the corner from our work building so we would come here for lunch or lunch drinks or after work drinks. Great place for lunch because they give you a sand timer on the table once you order. If your food isn’t done in 15 minutes, it’s on the house!(Your party has to be smaller than 6, I believe). It’s quick … or FREE!(side note: We never got our food for free). They have the vodka shooters(in sets of 6 and 10 i think?) and they include random flavors.(I can’t remember if you don’t get to choose or if they pre-choose for you). DON’T ORDERTHESE! Well actually, you should… they’re funny and you can see everyone’s reaction after taking a birthday cake vodka shot with what looks like CHUNKOFCAKE in it!(SUPERYUCKBYTHEWAY!) Good thing we were slightly buzzed already … ok but side note: those medicine /chunky /lemon /chocolatey shots did not make me feel well for the rest of the afternoon at work! Oh okay, so they use to have this GREAT pesto tomato sandwich(OMFG it was AMAZING), but after they closed down for a few weeks and revamped the whole menu/management(maybe not management) they no longer had it!!! You might still be able to request it. who knows… all I know is I could NEVER talk about Revolution without bringing up that pesto sandwich. Gets SUPER crowded after work sometimes… like ridiculous to order drinks. or even WALK. but it does get fun and not as claustrophobic when they open the downstairs and you can dance you little heart out.

This is a really classy joint. Its done up beautifully and they have kept all the orginal features of the bank. Event the volt which is now a champagne bar downstairs. This place has everything rolled into one bar, lounge areas and club. Would highly recommend for work doo up city.
