This super lux Rigby & Pelar rubs shoulders with Harrods, and oozes sophistication… pity that(on the occasion we visited) swimwear bejewelled the entire length of one side of the store(at the beginning of winter!). I would have loved to see much more of their silky, sexy stuff. Also, while I didn’t ask, I wasn’t offered a fitting which post visit I think I needed… luckily I got both the service and the goods afterwards at swanky Harrods

Rigby and Peller is a wonderful experience all round, excuse the pun. It is worth paying those extra pounds for a perfect fit and the type of lingerie you can get at R & P, and let’s face it wearing exquisite lingerie makes a lady feel like a million dollars.

If you think you might belong to the ever-increasing band of women who are wearing the wrong size bra, this is the perfect place to get you back on track. Located in an elegant street to the side of Harrods, this small branch operates a ticketing system. After taking your numbered ticket, the supermarket analogies cease. There is a comfortably plush red-velvet seating area to wait on, until your fitter is ready for you. The expert fitter is sufficiently professional to alleviate any embarrassment you might experience. Once your correct size has been established you’ll discuss what you’re looking for. It was mildly amusing to be looked-upon by a racing photo of the Queen and Prince Philip as I experienced the fitting process As many styles and colours, as required, are happily provided and honestly assessed. The French Marie-Jo range is especially pretty and practical, although quite pricey, from around £56 per bra. It’s also possible to get an individually coutured lingerie item here, accordingly priced. Staff are courteous, helpful and efficient and exert no pressure whatsoever to buy.
