Stunning hotel with amazing service, delicious food and jazz on Fridays. The rooms are a great size and very comfortable. I love that they have universal wall plugs since I only had one converter! The blankets are a bit too warm but aside from that, no complaints.

…were my initial thoughts upon coming to Rosewood for cocktails with the girls. It’s a swanky throwback to the Gatsby era with live jazz musicians. You’ll feel like you stepped back in time a bit.
The entryway to the Rosewood must be one of the most photographed in the world. From the tilework to chandeliers to the golden hallway, it’s lush and sexy and I dare you to see it and not Instagram it.
The cocktails come with a hefty £15 price tag, but you pay for the atmosphere so it’s to be expected. Next time I would dress up a bit more. You can’t be overdressed here but you can be underdressed, and I was here on a Wednesday night so that says a lot. It’s a great excuse to break out your heels and little black dress :)

A truly special week here, after 5 star hotels in Paris. Warm, professional personal assistance from Taimur at Guest Relations from the moment of late check-​in after a long journey from Maui, Hawaii. Delightful bed, duvet, pillows. To celebrate a romantic special occasion: Rose petals in bathtub, fresh cut roses, Champagne, and scented candles. In-​service dining for breakfast and dinner; breakfasts and dinner at Holborn Dining Room. Concierge Chris did expert work in obtaining best theatre tickets for Billy Elliot and the incomparable Imelda Staunton in a limited run of Gypsy.

Choose to stay here for friends visiting. I really like the décor that kind of oriental luxury with Edwardian historical building. Love that bronze entrance that takes me to a elegance time-​space.
Would be better if they have more choice of in room dining. Maybe also some more oriental dishes.
I’ll definitely meet my friends at the scarfe bar and the terrace, I heard there are good.

Very nice property. Only downsides are rooms could do with a bit more lighting and shower is not fully enclosed, which I hate. Positives far outweigh the minor negatives and include outstanding service, excellent gym (all TechnoGym equipment, which is state of the art and a very helpful fitness consultant) and very nice Spa. Restuarant has very good Indian food, at least lunch was excellent. At night, live music in the bar makes it a terrific place to enjoy a nightcap after dinner. Would definitely stay here again!

I only regret that I cannot add a few stars! Just spent 10 days at the Rosewood and am convinced it is the finest hotel I have ever seen… The facility is magnificent, stately, elegant and maintained to perfection… The staff were consistently cheerful, enthusiastic, professional, caring, and totally devoted to taking care of us… We were there to celebrate our 40^th anniversary with a week of London theatre, and the folks at Rosewood made it a remarkable occasion… they pampered us with a gazillion rose petals adorning much of our room, champagne, edible treats, and non-​stop enthusiastic attention to our feelings and needs… And then there was «Pearl»…the hotel’s resident golden retriever who holds court in the lobby most of the day… He’s a gem.

Quiet and refined. It’s fabulously decadent, hidden away from the hustle and bustle of Central London.
Certainly not a place to visit before pay day but we all deserve a treat once in a while.

Had a few friends visiting in town, and came here with a discount coupon for afternoon tea.
The main dining room was quite attractive, high ceilings, mirrors and lights. The service was attentive, as one might expect from such an establishment. The tea itself was good, with bonus points for serving the scones still warm. I’ve had more food for afternoon tea before, but usually most people leave too stuffed, and here it seemed like the appropriate amount. Would come back, especially for a more upscale afternoon tea experience.

Stayed here this week, super hotel. Lovely room, very comfortable public areas, are a little dark to read, but really comfortable.
Staff are really super, very helpful.
Restaurant is good, bistro type food, squid and shrimp burger.

My daughter and I travelled to London to celebrate her 16^th Birthday in August. While there we stayed at the Rosewood London. After having the Continental Breakfast at the hotel, I became violently ill. Thankfully there was a hospital near Abby Road Studios (where we were sight seeing at the time) and we went to the emergency room. The doctor there diagnosed me with food poisoning. He explained that based on my symptoms and their onset, the food would have been something I had consumed that morning. I notified the hotel of what had occurred. Incredibly the way they chose to handle it was to send the information to an outside firm and indicate it was a «legal» matter. The outside firm then denied that the hotel had anything to do with my food poisoning. Experiencing food poisoning was awful. How the hotel chose to handle the matter made it even worse!

We’d planned a long overdue girly cocktail catch up at the pop-​up G&T terrace bar here. Sadly the weather at the moment seems to be changing faster than Cheryl Cole’s hair colour, so the blustery winds drove us inside to The Mirror Room.
It was nice to feel the staff are looking out for you right from the start — I arrived 5^th out of 6 (woops) and wandered through to the central courtyard of the hotel. I was greeted by two charming doormen wearing long beige overcoats and flat-​caps that for a second made me think they were the gardeners lingering on a break. One asked whether I’d like the direct route or the scenic one as he led me to The Mirror Room, but despite choosing the latter it seemed a pretty direct route to me!
The staff inside had equally impeccable manners and I found my girly gang relaxing on plush velvety sofas around a low table. The room is swanky and spacious inside, with a high mirrored ceiling (it was in the name, right?), lots of black lacquer and oversized vases. It’s set up for all day dining and our table was cruelly in prime view of a nice-​looking dessert trolley I could’ve wheeled straight out of there…
I quite enjoyed flopping into an armchair and picking out a Mirror Punch cocktail, which was a delicious gin and cointreau based drink served in a tall wine glass, with such a long spindly stem I felt I might snap it (and my friends were highly entertained by as it reminded them of my own spindly long legs!). Others enjoyed their mint G&Ts whilst my teetotal mates were treated to the barman’s own blueberry-​based mocktail after asking for something non-​alco and fruity.
Two parts of the 5* service struck a duff note:
1) tuna amuse-​bouches — with 4 of my mates being veggies these were a little lost on the group (though I got to scoff 3!). We weren’t expecting food though and they made do with the olives instead.
2) the room is SO vast that the staff are spread thinly, so it took us an age to attract attention for the bill. Do this in plenty of time if you have somewhere to go.
Otherwise it’s a swish stop to pop in or meet a group on the way somewhere else — but not enough atmosphere (esp for the price) to make it your main destination.

Absolutely fantastic hotel rooted in tradition with all of the modern conveniences and amenities. Great restaurant and bar. Wifi is super strong and works everywhere. Stayed here for almost a week and never found a single weak spot anywhere on the grounds.

i went to an event in this stunning hotel and after tried out scarfes bar with a couple of lady friends.
firstly, the event was extremely well organised. arrival champagne and canapes before a cat walk show, and afterwards, more champagne, dessert canapes and a fill-​your-​own popcorn bar. the little touches were well thought out and very befitting of a 5* hotel. i have to say, the catering staff were not fantastic — perhaps they were outsourced. they seemed a little inexperienced and were not as attentive as i would expect a 5* team to be. perhaps they are just ironing out first few months nerves, and this could have been one of the first big events they’d put on.
scarfes bar has a separate entrance from the hotel (although it is connecting) on high holborn. it is a beautiful bar, full of old books and trinkets. a very great gatsby-​esque feel. we were not made to feel rushed at all the entire time we were there and the lady serving us was friendly and professional. the cocktails were interesting and delicious. pricey at £12.50 — £14.50 a pop, but certainly very nice for a treat. we kept getting topped up with the very moreish nuts and crackers — they were aflowin’ which was appreciated since we hadn’t eaten dinner. lovely, dark, intimate place and i shall certainly be returning.

I and my BF had stayed at the Rosewood Mayakoba in Mexico twice in 2013 and were thrilled to see there was a new Rosewood property in London. Like Mayakoba, Rosewood London is chic, luxurious and warm. The interiors are beautiful and quite special and the flowers are especially spectacular. The food is wonderful. We had breakfast each day as well as a dinner in the Mirror Room and room service once after the theatre and again for dinner. Always delicious and elegant. Our basic room was reasonably-​sized by UK standards and perfectly formed. The service is impeccable from the minute one drives/​walks into the impressive interior courtyard for the first time. The staff call you by name, are available to help constantly and the general refrain is what we can we do to make you happy and comfortable.
