I was over the moon when I found out that the closest Chinese takeaway was within 2,000 feet of our property. Especially given how in some parts of London it feels like you have to start digging a hole to China to get some local chow mein. The owner is quick, polite, and very decent. The first time I came here, he gave me a pound less than my due change, which I only realized on my 5 minute walk while waiting for food When I came back to pick up, he was the first to point it out. Superb. Duck Chow Mein: The duck chow mein is literally the best I’ve had in London and England. Often the duck is dark in color and dry, flavorless. Here the duck is absolutely perfect– crispy and red with just the right tenderness. It’s like 4.95 and it’s a large and in charge amount of noodles, duck, and thinly sliced vegetables. Hot and Sour(Schezuan style) Soup: Perhaps the best I have ever had, ever. And I have it in every Chinese place I go. Normally the stock/base is thin, though loaded with flavor. Here you get more succulent meat and vegetables than liquid. I am just such a fan. And the portion for like 2.80 is huge. I could literally just have that for lunch with a small salad and be full. My friend had the Chilli Beef which he said was good quality for value as well. I will most definitely be coming back to this place which I want some straight up stir fry or spiced up soup. Always hits the spot.
