This place is a hidden gem. Right in the centre of Oxford Street, above a busy department store is a cosy oasis with an enchanted forest theme. From the moment you take the lift to the 5th floor(there’s an Expres lift in the Beauty Hall to take you straight to 5), it’s magical. You exit the lifts and walk through an archway made of sticks and fairylight. The restaurant is full of natural light and the roof opens and closes depending on the weather. Don’t fear about the cold as each table comes with a stash of thick woolen blankets, that are so soft you want to wear them home. There are Christmas themed cocktails and the hot chocolate is thick, fresh melted chocolate — non of the powdered stuff. I cannot recommend the truffle fries highly enough. I’m already planning my next visit for another fry fix! We also tried fish and chips, which is on the expensive side at £15.50 but this is central London and the fish was so big it filled me up for lunch and dinner. The mushroom risotto with truffle oil is equally filling and delicious. A meal for two inc service and soft drinks was £45, which is pretty decent for this area of London and it just feels magical.

There isn’t much for me to say that hasn’t already been said is there? The service is impeccable and the food delicious … Order a champagne ice lollie when there. To die first!

This a slightly delayed review as I visited Selfridges rooftop last summer but its well worth talking about still! We went on a lovely sunny evening after work and quenched our thirst with some refreshing wine. The service was exactly what you would expect from Selfridges — polite and very attentive. Food was lovely and reasonably priced for what you receive. Make sure you go outside and appreciate the view for a bit before sitting down to eat.

Easy to find. Directions where on the email sent confirming reservation«the directions of how to find Le Chalet which is accessible exclusively from the express elevator which can be found opposite Chanel in Fragrance on the ground floor of Selfridge’s». Le Chalet is a lovely little restaurant that has a relaxed vibe to it and cosy. Each chair has a blanket placed on lt although I did feel slightly cold(I was sat by the window) I did not feel the need for the blanket the place has upheaters and I could feel the heat coming from those. Service is good however the food took a while to arrive… The food its self was nothing to «wow» about overpriced for quality and quantity you get(i would give the food 3 stars).

I loved it! I love festive things, and this was such a treat! You enter a passageway of twinkling trees — reminiscent of Narnia, and enter the covered rooftop with smells of enticing food and an open kitchen. We arrived on a whim on a Saturday lunchtime(as my boyfriend let me pick anywhere I wanted for lunch).I’d read about it online. I love a pop-up and this did not disappoint. it was busy and we were lucky to get a seat straight away. They seated us at the counter which i thought would be annoying but it was actually better — interesting to see the food cooked and we had more space. there are decadent touches like blankets everywhere, abd they serve hot mulled wine and hot chocolate to people on the terrace. Was full of girls that had dragged their bf’s, families and a few people having girly lunches. The menu was amazing and everything looked delicious. We had a raclette to start(a bit like a fondue), then roast pork, followed by an egg nogg egg(I love egg nogg). Which was an egg shaped white mousse encased in a brandy snap surrounded by rich buttery egg nogg, edible flower petals and honey salted roast nuts. the small bad points were — the service was a little slow as it was so busy — they left our finished plates for ages and forgot cutlery. I think its only here for a month or so but its a Christmas treat and highly recommended. But book.

I went here today with four friends and we had a lovely time. It’s called«le chalet» at the moment and is decked out to look nice and Christmassy. We shared some starters plates and had wine and coffees. It was a really nice afternoon and we spent over three hours there and nobody tried to hurry us up despite there being a very long line downstairs trying to come up(would highly recommend booking in advance like we did). The food was nice and tasty and the staff were very nice. It would have been five stars if the coffee had been a bit better. Would definitely come back.

What a fantastic place. I read a review in Timeout and this place did not disappoint. First impressions. it’s ‘summer smart’… whatever that means, maybe I thought I was in Chelsea or somewhere West London, it had that feel. Want a booking? good luck. but online they seem to have an ok system. We turned up(I’m sure I booked) but the lady said that they didn’t have our booking. However I said anything would do for 2 people, we don’t mind and they seated us(only now I realized they seated us at a table with a reservation for one hour from the time we arrived)… but that’s cool. The menu was great, easy, Sunday fresh, comfort food with a twist of gourmet and SHAZZZAM(Can’t think of a proper word but check the pictures). I really enjoyed the restaurant but i felt the staff, although a whole army of them floating around– and not hat busy, were not as attentive as I would have liked. The atmosphere had a slight ‘You’re fit but my gosh don’t you know it’ attitude about it but nevertheless; pleasant, good food, brilliant décor and great location with lots of inside space! Pleas see pictures :)

Nice rooftop bar with OK views of the city. Good atmoshpere — Selfridge’s crowd without the tourists.
