This is another along a string of obscure food choices in foreign countries that just don’t add up. Why would we get thai in the UK? Well because we can! However, this was the first strike out. Everything up until this point has been amazing. This place not so much. We were headed to a different thai place down the street but that one only accepts cash, and well… we didn’t have any at the time. Glad we asked before eating… AWKWARD… We ordered the thai coconut drink(comes in a can), the sampler appetizer(think poo poo platter) — this was the best thing we had over the whole meal. The ribs were deep fried and delicious, the satay has a strong curry kick, the spring rolls were meh, and the shrimp toast was interesting. The soup was terrible, tom yum chicken, had a few big pieces of chicken, but served room temperature, the crispy chicken dish, had no taste of chicken, just dough with sauce on top, and the basil beef was so salty. The service was good though. I would not recommend coming back. They did accept credit card though.

My first meal in London was at this little spot. After arriving to check into my hotel about 30 minutes early, I was told that I would have to either wait or just give them my bags and come back in a bit. So that’s what I did. The food option that I found was this place. Overall, I liked their food and service. The restaurant itself is quiet and super clean. The lady who served me was nice and she gave me the lunch menu to look at before I ordered some lemon chicken and rice. Overall, the food was pretty good. It, at the very least, was quite fresh. I can appreciate that. Now, while I was in there I noticed that there were a lot of local people in there as well. So to me, this means that the place has a decent reputation. I would come back again if I were in the surrounding area and needed a quick bite.

I went there for the first time. The waiter is good and place look smart but the food is average. The Tom Yum soup tasted okay but lukewarm and meat slightly undercooked. My Pad-si-eew was tasteless and served on a cold plate. The Green curry was okay but nothing outstanding. I grumbled to my partner but the waiter hasn’t bother to ask the food was okay. ah there is also this annoying service charge which was a taking the micky. I won’t bother to go back again.

I’m from San Francisco so we have excellent thai food. My wife is thai too. Overall this place is not too bad. Needed a quick cheap meal and this did the trick. Taste is mostly Chinese but the Tom yum was more Thai. No wait. Rad Na was a bit salty. Just except quick cheap food and you won’t be disappointed.

I walk past this restaurant about once a week. See, it’s by my favourite café in London. It’s also by one of the best vintage shops south of the river. Lower Marsh is a strange little place, full of interesting shops and cafes. It was inevitable that I’d end up here at some point. I don’t know if I’ll go back, but I wouldn’t be upset if I did end up here. The food is actually good, and the service really friendly. But I know when I’m being fobbed off with masses of MSG and I really was. If you can taste MSG in the food, there’s way too much in there. But I’m a sucker for the stuff and it was tasty. I was also STARVING after a three hour meeting so the food didn’t stay on the plate very long. It’s pretty cheap here, two curries, two portions of rice and a beer for £20. But the standard of the food is such that you might as well pop to Maria’s around the corner instead. It’s not a destination, it’s somewhere you go when you’re so hungry you want to chew off your own arm. The three stars is cemented by the toilets being pretty horrible. No excuse for that.

Unexpectedly good Chinese-Thai restaurant by Waterloo Station. I’ve eaten here loads of times(and enjoyed quite a few takeaways too) and the food has always been tasty and top-notch. There are so many restaurants around the area that are fairly average and packed out(close to the Old Vic and the station) that to find Sino Thai only a short walk away is amazing. Good service, good food, always space and time to enjoy the evening without feeling rushed to get out.
