Popped in here for dinner after getting off the overground. Prices were inexpensive and the food was very good! We got two full meals + two glasses of wine for less than £30. Good spot for a first date too — trendy and nice layout, but not expensive. Really enjoyed our meal here.

This pub has no atmosphere management! Went for a drink at 4pm and the staff are playing the loudest dance music as if we were in a nightclub. No wonder no one sticks around… Because they cannot hear each other! Very stressful experience. Won’t be back.

A decent establishment if you’re looking for something a wee bit nicer than the average pub in this area. Met a friend here for drinks on a Wednesday night and enjoyed their £11 bottles of red wine they had on offer — the bartender was even kind enough to point out that getting a bottle was cheaper than the 2 glasses of red I had initially planned on ordering.

GD I’m beginning to loathe London. First time here was pleasant enough. Nice not overly modern atmosphere like the places I’m used to. Great background noise and comfy seating. But I guess things changed the third time I went. A pint of Peroni was £5.50. Seriously? Seriously? The bartender seemed quite annoyed to serve me this time around… Damn you Burberry Touch

Had a great New Year’s Eve meal here with friends! Booked a booth and they had it ready and decorated with balloons which was a nice extra. Food was really tasty and there was no fuss with changing the platter options. Best of all was the cocktail deals and there was lots to choose from! If you’re looking for decent grub with some friends and plenty of drinks, this is a decent option.

Great place to meet people, but apart from that pretty average. I found it soulless and bland! Kx

Had a few drinks in here last week on the way to the Rugby. It was nice. Sport playing, lots and lots of people(there was a festival on Clapham Common that weekend), the q at the bar wasn’t too bad. It was alright

Not so bad as previous review. Yes its kind of an average pub not excelling in character. But they have a decent enough menu(several vegetarian entrees) with a Kids Menu(with MacNCheese) that is a winner with my kids. And the ale is good. So for a mid day or late afternoon meal out with the family it is pretty okay. You want a «real pub» to drink heavily with your mates, go next door to the Falcon. Get off the train with your kids at CJ and don’t feel like walking, or cooking but want to fill up and have a good ale, SlugNLettuce.

My mum loves the slug and lettuce and i really don’t know why! Its probably the 2 for 1 meals and generally cheap food i suppose. This particular Slug does attract some pretty cool revellers and hot girls at the weekend too. All this said, the Slug and Lettuce is not for me and if you’re a traditional pub man, it’s not for you either.
