This place can be a bit hit and miss. But when it is a hit… its a hit indeed. I go past the bridge that on one side looks to the London Eye and the Horse Guards Parade, the other to Buckingham Palace every day for work… and so far, this has to be one of the best hidden spots for a stroll in London. Not too far from civilisation, but definitely quiet enough for one(or two) to gather thoughts(cyclist free might I add), whatever the time of day. The lake, home to the resident swans, ducks and geese can gently reflect the sun during the day, or provide a swan lake bience at night. Early mornings it can be covered in fog, giving it a very disney-esque ambience. The park isn’t big, so couples tend to do a lap or two, and during office hours the small café by the lake is a great place to stop by and recharge. There are some tourists, undoubtedly, but much fewer than other bikes in such a central location.

This park right here is really serene! Or it could be due to the fact that I always seem to be drinking champagne when I’m there lol … Who knows! Either way the daisies are scattered everywhere and there’s a sense of peace and tranquility here … I’ve spent many summer afternoons relaxing at this park and the great news is that there are free toilets available without having to walk 639 miles! Life saver right there

Absolutely the best part of St James Park. With all the crazy looking birds, foliage and fountains. If you see if from the angle with the London Eye in the back on a sunny day, that’s pretty hard to beat.

What a beautiful lake! The park in general is lovely, and at its center is the lake, filled with a variety of intriguing water birds I had never seen before and bordered by trees that blossom gorgeously in the spring. I went there a few times, and one day I brought myself a picnic to enjoy on a bench by the lake. It’s a lovely place, and probably my favorite park in London that I’ve visited thus far.
