I must admit I was surprised to see a lower star rating from a Unilocaler for this place. I’ve lived in SQ for 2.5 years and I use this place regularly, normally for a couple of dry clean only dresses that I have. It’s reasonably priced, the work done on clothes is always excellent. I’ve never had something come back and it not look perfect. I lose my ticket all the time, they’re fairly tolerant about that.
Sometimes you get service with a smile, sometimes not. It depends who you see at the counter. But to be honest, it’s always a quick exchange and the main thing here is that they do a good job, which I think they do.

avoid — just walk a bit further to classic drycleaners instead. They didnt get my cleaning done by the date specified, forgot to do amendments, lied to my face… incredibly unprofessional… I am still chasing a cardigan!!!

It is always nice to have a dry cleaners on your doorstep and whilst Star Dry Cleaners on Lower Road has no fancy frills attached, it certainly does the job for great prices. You can get 5 shirts cleaned for just under £9 which is definitely a bargain in my eyes.
The actual inside of the shop looks a little grubby with lots of random ‘stuff’ everywhere but at the end of the day, the staff are friendly and you garments always come back looking pristine and new. I regularly take in my white winter coat and am always happy with the results.
