This Starbucks is always absolutely crazy busy, no matter what time of day it is. Probably because it’s located inside one of the busiest train stations in the city. Because of this, you’ll probably need to give yourself more time to go to this Starbucks because even though there’s normally about 6 staff members on, you still end up waiting a ridiculous amount of time for your drink. There’s downstairs and upstairs seating, and if you sit downstairs it’s great for people watching, but it’s a stressful experience trying to get your drink here — if you’ve got time head over to the Starbucks just out the back entrance of Victoria station, it’s a lot quicker and much less busy.

The worst experience i’ve ever had at a starbucks. I went in the early morning, and stood in line for over 15mins, with only one person taking orders and one person making coffees, whilst two other staff members walked around the shop aimlessly. This starbucks is in a busy train station and you would expect a fairly fast and efficient service. Would not be going back here again

There are actually 2 Starbucks’ in Victoria — I’m not sure which one this is officially for. The one at the front of the station is smashing. Rarely make a mistake and are almost always cheerful and friendly. The one at the back of the station(near platform 1) is another story. They’ve twice in a week tried to overcharge/incorrectly charge me and made the most burnt cup of coffee I’ve ever gotten in a restaurant. They are slow and while not unfriendly, they’re not pleasant in any way. I usually end up here if the line at the other location is wrapped around the place and I just want to get coffee and go! I don’t know why the 2 locations nearby each other are so different — clearly a matter of staffing. But I much prefer the front of station Starbucks.

The silly newspapers like the Evening Standard hate Starbucks. I suppose it is an American thing. Well, the coffee isn’t burnt here. And the result is that this coffee shop nearly always has a line while the competitors stand about waiting for a customer. The staff are excellent – friendly and hard working. It isn’t clean and charming all the time because of excessive use, but it is the best coffee/pastry in the area for the quick stop. Pret nearby. M&S food next door. Some like Costa or Nero… and they can be nice. But around here, Starbuck’s rules.
