A long time ago all of this used to be Russia Dock Woodlands, and they used it to transport goods from/to London to Sweden, Norway and obviously Russia, but since the early 70’s the docs were shut down. Stave Hill is not real! I’m it is, except it’s an artificial hill build over this old docs. On the top there is a map indicating all the areas that can be seen from there, and in a clear day(if you are lucky) you get to see the Wembley Stadium — which is about 16 miles away. When I first came here I couldn’t believe such place was there, but then I remembered that not many people come to Canada Water/Rotherhithe for tourism. But knowing this they should. This is definitely one of the best views in London! If you live around the area the park is also a great place to walk, run, bring your kids and play. When there is snow, you can(probably) slide down the hill — I’ve done it and it was a lot of fun!
