History

Established in 1996.

Established to capitalize on the growing demand for stabilized camera shots, SteadiOp was founded by Felix Forrest of London. Over the years, the business has grown and the inventory has been built through solid investment and reinvestment. Now with a broad range of digital cinema cameras, Steadicam rigs, shotmakers and shooting platforms, high quality lens sets, a SteadiSeg, Movi and a Stab C, SteadiOp has the skill and equipment to deliver world class creative shots for your production.

Felix is a member of the Society of Camera Operators (SOC), Steadicam™ Operator’s Association, the Guild of Television Cameramen, a Fellow of the Royal Society of the Arts, a member of the Royal Television Society and also a member of BECTU, Felix has attended training courses in the US and the UK on the operation and practical use of Stereoscopic and Holographic 3D, Steadicam™ and training with MK-​V on the mega Revolution. As a result, he knows how to get the best from the Steadicam™ or mega Revolution systems.
