Stella Exclusive

Uh-​oh, I’ve had to downgrade it I’m afraid. Not so pleasant in Stella’s today. The usual woman who runs the place and is really nice was nowhere to be seen and her replacement was sort of nasty to customers and her own staff — not cool. It’s been a while since I’ve stopped by so I’m not sure if it’s under new management but I was quoted double the previous price for a mere trim and she didn’t seem bothered that I found this unfair so I left. While I was waiting, she had also been very rude to a customer getting her hair dried and tried to increase the price she had been quoted before the hairdresser started. And the hairdresser then got told off for spending too long on this particular customer!
Not what you need when you want to go and get a hair cut, don’t think I’ll be back. I shall have to seek out a new Brixton haircutting haunt!

We all know that ladies of a darker complexion and our hair is a whole different ballgame! If you didn’t, listen up, Afro hair dances to a different beat!
Me personally my hair is very unruly and needs taming in the form of straighten and or having weave extensions put in.
I’ve been looking for a new stylist for a while as my previous lady has moves away and it was a bit of a commute. Having a trot down Atlantic I noted Stella’s. Something about this humble salon attracted me so I stuck my head in and an hour later I had a new barnet!
Warning if you like your tea on arrive a glass of wine at the halfway point — this is not for you. This place is completely no frills. However, I don’t mind this so much, considering I had just been introduced to a lady that hands that could part the Red Sea! Well, ok part my hair, but really really well!
It’s reasonably reasonable in cost and even though the surrounding were a little rough around the edges, and I left with a final look that was more of a Princess Cut!
