My friend brought me here during a free skate, mentioning that the rink was shutting down. Entry was £7, skate rental £2, and as Andrea mentioned, 60p for a locker(don’t even try bringing your purse with you on to the ice, lest you be reprimanded by the referees) This ice rink is exactly like the ones in Canada. Paint peeling, outdated arcade games(SEGA?! Wow.), family(wo)manning the desk, greasy food — it has a real 1970s feel to it. The people who come here as well tend to be pretty good at skating too — you see a bunch of fancy camels and salchows in the process. Much less expensive than paying £15−20 you would have to by going to one of the rinks in Central London, and it is much larger and less crowded. A nice escape.
