I usually despise mobile phone stores, as they are usually manned by adolescent, sweaty boys who still get embarrassing erections whenever the bus stops. But hats off to the team in Oxford Street. Firstly there was more than enough staff manning the floor which meant I got dealt with quickly. On discussing the pro’s and con’s of certain phones, at no time did I feel I was being treated like an illiterate child. It was clear when I brought up the potential release of the iphone, that their training kicked in and the automatic response of «I am unable to comment on the iphone,» drawled out like a recorded message. All in all there is a good array of phones in here and the attendants chatted to me like I was one of the lads. If you want that dry, spec by spec discussion of what kind of microchips are used in the blah, blah, blah, maybe you won’t be impressed, but I found the guys helpful and ready to talk about deals.
