History
Established in 1972.
Started by Mohammed Tayyab over 40 years ago, this family run restaurant in historic Whitechapel has grown in size and reputation.
Originally a daytime café for locals and those in the know.
Today Tayyab’s is run by Mohammed Tayyab’s three sons, Saleem, Aleem and Wasim each of whom are passionate about each and every dish that leaves the kitchen. Quality dishes served at the highest level, becoming one of the most celebrated restaurants, not just in Whitechapel but in London.
The clientele is a blend of multi cultural London; locals, fashionable East End creatives, city bankers and families.
