Cheap as chips!
In an area filled with prets it’s really nice to find a sandwich shop with very good prices. Sandwiches for under £2 it’s proper value for money in spite of being a minutes walk away from major law firms and Goldman Sachs London offices!

Great value especially for porridge breakfast.
Staff quick and efficient and reasonable pricing there made me a breakfast regular when working in the area. One thing that amazes me is the speed at which the staff get working on the order and they almost always get it right. They also establish a nice rapport with the customer. Another lunch time favourite is their soup which is also sold at a very reasonable price. They have a few stores in London, my favourite being the one on Fleet Street. They have now opened a salad bar downstairs. They have a range of drinks as well as some snacks. Would recommend to one and all.

I used to love Benjy’s and saw its Starbuck type growth as great until it overstreached and went bankrupt. Therefore I was delighted to start a new job on Fleet Street and find that Temples is like Benjys! So for those who dont know what I mean it is like this, you enter the one shop unit size business and to the left are the tills, to the right are fridges with prepackaged salads, coleslaw and juices. In front of you is a hot food counter and to the far left, meet the sandwiches, wraps and prepackages curries and rice.
The best thing (apart from the speed of service) is the prices. Yesterday I got 2 jacket potatos with beans, cheese and 2 sausages along with a bottle of Lucozade for £4. Bargain. I am going to like working near Temples!

The owner of the Temples, Kelly Temple, seems to be a sort of philanthropist, and maybe this view of the world is reflected in what she offers in her two snak bars (there is another Temples in 142&145 Minories).
But however, Temples offers a wide range of packaged salads, sandwiches, snaks and drinks… and beside this, there is a counter where people serve freshly created, warm sandwiches ans toast.
A very friendly service and rather cheap prices are reason enough to get the daily lunch there.
