Horrible food. Please save your money, this place advertised Thai food but it’s far from any Thai food you’ll ever get. There are many great Thai food in London, please save your time and money.

Wonderfully close to the Kensington Close Hotel. The food is excellent and modestly priced and went as follows(photos to follow): Tom Kar Gai soup, Spring rolls clear noodles/chicken/mushroom, Koong Kratien/garlic prawns, Yellow curry, mild with a ton of chicken, super coconut ice cream. Very nice folks running this place, wait staff, hostess, all good. Very reasonable prices as well as serving late.

Not impressed really. First night out in London with my bf and we chose this place. When we first entered the ambience was very nice and Thai but in the dining hall/room it was very loud and we got a table just right in the middle, which was quite a mood kill with the staff almost running back and forth all the time. And they seem pretty nice at first, but after you order they seem soooo busy. The only thing they got right was our beverages and main course but after that, almost everything went wrong. At one point we got the tab without asking for it just after we ordered desserts. Apparently it wasn’t ours but it took them quite some time to realize it. It was like the servers didn’t communicate at all and it felt like a small chaos and was very stressful to eat around. The stars are only for the authenticity in the food.

We stayed near the restaurant, were tired and decided to give it a try despite the unfavorable reviews. The atmosphere was nice and the Pad Thai was good, generous portions. As others have said, the staff is not very fluent in English, but they were polite and service was friendly. On a Saturday night the restaurant was very busy, but service was not slow. It was an average restaurant experience for us, but very convenient due to the location.

I have to say I was very disappointed that off the bat they do not offer traditional thai tea or coffee. The food was very mediocre and the service was lacking. You would think for the location they would step it up a notch. Sadly I will not be returning when there is much better thai food to be had nearby.

Do NOT eat here. Do yourself a favor and eat somewhere else. Food= 2.5 stars Service= less than 1 star Food: We ordered the panang curry, fried rice, Thai salad, Tom gai soup, and some grilled seafood dish. All of which were below average and the panang curry was the worst I have ever had. Service: One person came to take our order, and another to bring our check. No one checked on us at all the entire time. Had to practically yell across the quiet restaurant to ask for more water. Also, when I asked for the bill(because I had to ask of course), it took a really long time to get the check despite the restaurant being extremely slow on a Monday night. Additionally, the owner’s son, Daniel, who seems to be the manager there, was rude and extremely arrogant, rolling his eyes at us quite a few times. Horrible experience altogether. I don’t give many restaurants a 1 star review, so I think that itself shows a lot about this restaurant.

Quite good. The service is friendly and helpful, and really represents service which is a rarity these days it seems. Food was very good, but I will agree the curry is mild. Two chilies barely had a burn at all. Still yummy though. Worth a stop if you are around High Street at the shops or just wandering through.

They have some of the best Tom Yum soup I have had. The curries are good but could use more heat. The banana desert was fabulous.

I was pretty surprised to see so many mediocre reviews for this place. We came in as a group of 10 and decided that one half wanted to order dishes while the other half of the group wanted a meal combination. I didn’t care so we sat with the combo table. I was very happy with the choice. I must admit, the staff were not fluent in English. Honestly, there were at least two the didn’t understand it at all. Thankfully they were only bringing stuff out and offering water. I really enjoyed the meal, although I couldn’t tell you what any of it was. There were a few spicy dishes, but nothing real hot that you couldn’t eat. One thing I had for sure was the Prawn on Toast. It was a big hit at the table. Good meal, especially for someone who doesn’t know what to order at a traditional Thai place.

Thai Terrace provides a cheap meal(nearly unheard of in this area) in a quiet and classy setting with candle lit tables. The food was good, but the servers(possibly due to a language barrier?) were simply uninterested in actually serving their customers. It seemed that they were more interested in taking orders quickly and then just dropping off the food… which makes it a bit frustrating that Thai Terrace pre-charges an «optional» 20% service fee on the bill. I’d likely head there again just for the quiet atmosphere but with the knowledge that the service won’t be exceptional.

It has a good lunch menu. Normally I’d give it 3 stars, but I was shocked to see so many 2-star reviews here so I felt the need to balance them out.

I’ll agree that the staff did seem a bit disinterested, but the food was decent and they made a hot & spicy soup that made me nearly stop breathing, so I consider that a success. Not that anything really stood out from other Thai’s in the world, but for the area, if someone asked me where the nearest one was, I’d throw it in the suggestion mix.

Thai Terrace was down the street where we stayed, and although it wasn’t the best Thai food I’ve ever tasted, it was decent. The service was pretty good, and the atmosphere was stereotypically Asian. As for food, I had the stereotypical Pad Thai(I was more in the mood for Drunken Noodles, which they did not have), and the boyfriend had the Rad Na Gai Wean Moo. He never had Thai food before, and preferred the Pad Thai to the Rad Na Gai Wean Moo.

I spend alot of time living on Wright’s Lane– I bounce back and forth between Kensington and Boston for work. Speaking from the perspective of a weary traveler Thai Terrace provides exactly what I want every time I go. I want only a quiet meal for little money close to home and quickly. The food here is decent, but not amazing and the price for the area is reasonable. The service has always been warm and welcoming. The gentleman at the door is always funny and charming, and I think the quirky enviroment is comforting.

Reasonable but not exceptional Thai food served by disinterested staff. Due to the location, it’s a reasonable place to eat in you’re staying at the Copthorne Tara. I wouldn’t make a special trip for this restaurant but I would go if I was hungry and it was convenient. There is a Thai restaurant near my home that reminds me of the Thai Terrace. In the 18 months that I’ve lived in my current home, I haven’t had a desire to go.
