The Bar At The Dorchester

Don’t get me wrong, this bar is gorgeous, but for 20 – 22 pound cocktails, I’m not sure if the experience was worth it. If your the type that likes to people watch, this is a good place… you can watch the London billionaires come in with their fur coats for their magnums of Dom… as for me, I would rather be at the Rivoli Bar at the Ritz where it is just as elegant but a little more comfortable.

It was my last night in London and I wanted to listen to live music and drink.
There was a buzz going around that drake was eating at the restaurant and there was this London posh scene happening at the bar. But as soon as that pianist started playing on those keys and started singing, I fell In love and forgot about all the buzz. It was just me and that music playing and nothing else mattered.
The bartender was so kind to me. Made easy conversation… This is how I wanted to end my trip in London… It was amazing…

The Bar at The Dorchester allowed me to step back in time in elegance. They had a live musician playing as I entered the bar. The surroundings are plush velvet, mahogany and mirrors. They give you an assortment of snacks when you order your drinks (some really lovely olives and a roasted nut assortment). I came here with a few friends and we ordered different drinks. Drinks are quite pricy. I had the strawberry cup which was lovely. My husband had the mai-​tai and really enjoyed it. One of our friends got the Champagne Shimmer. It comes with gold glimmer dust inside the champage and with a light-​up lip gloss served on ice! Pretty cool! Definitely one of the most unique drinks I have seen. Will definitely get the Champagne Shimmer next time. A very posh bar that takes you back in time– I will return!
