Quick service, pleasant atmosphere. We would call this a neighborhood dive bar in the U.S. I had an Italian beer that was like a budweiser. Very loud, too.

First time here in many many years. The music was good, but a little to loud. It was very busy and people were finding it hard to pass each other ;(

This is a great local pub now. Bar staff that know what they are doing and plenty of them, singers on Sunday afternoons and a great atmosphere.

The Beehive is not a pub I would go to out of choice. It is a huge pub, impressive looking from the outside but on the inside it lacks atmosphere. There is a separate public bar and a Saloon Bar. There is a pool table if you like that kind of thing, and they have the occasional karaōke night at the weekend, and sometimes a quiz night; but whenever I have been in here it has felt unwelcoming, cold and empty, and a bit grubby. The drinks prices are very cheap, you can also get a cheap bite to eat here too, I recently bought a round for 4 people for just over £8, which isn’t bad so if you want an inexpensive night out this is the place to go. But you get what you pay for! The cheap prices are the only good thing I can say about this pub, as some of the punters seem a bit on the rough side.

From the outside to an unknowing passer by the Beehive pub looks like a fantastic pub to visit. With it’s imposing size, it’s glass conservatory area and spacious outdoor tables and chairs area for al fresco eating and drinking. Also it is set in the lovely little hamlet of New Eltham which is pretty and usually full of happy go lucky people trying to find somewhere great to go. So all in all you’d think the Beehive a great place but you would be SADLYWRONG. It’s such a shame that this great old girl of a pub has been taken over by the lower end of the biological human chain. Most of the time it is full of mindless ‘grunts’ swearing, fighting and generally making the place somewhere to fear, I’d cross the street rather than walk by the doors. It really is a shame that this element of football hooligans from a ‘firm’ of a team from another area whom are notorious for their violence and public displays of anger(I shan’t name the team but I think we all know who they are). Well apparently their local pub they used as base camp was closed down, not surprising really, so now they’ve moved en mass to this sleepy little hamlet and making locals lives a misery. The pub is now run down and the once great food and atmsophere have long gone, avoid like the plague unless you feel like taking your life into your own hands.

I have completely removed my last scathing review as now this pub has had a complete makeover. The pub is bright and airy with lots of leather sofas. The beer is excellent and has real ale on tap with a guest beer each month. The Romanian landlord and his wife could not be more friendly. In order to keep out the yobs they have raised the price of lager and entry is over 25’s only. I cannot recoomend this pub more highly!
