The Dome

I was here for Wednesday night tango. It was pretty mehh in terms of atmosphere, mostly because of the location of the women’s restroom (which is right on the edge of the dance floor. I felt like I was getting bumped all the time!
The floor was fine and there was a good crowd, and I had a good time, but somehow I couldn’t feel comfortable standing anywhere, and as soon as I sat down someone would come over and say «that’s MY seat!»
After that happened a couple of times I decided to go stand in the corner to chat.
The level of dancing was so-​so, but people were mostly friendly!

Brilliant Old school venue — just a big square room with tables and chairs around the edge and a big dancefloor in the middle — and fortunately not reeking of old beer and fags (the horrible part of old school!). The soundsystem in here is both large and loud and clear, and the sound engineers obviously take alot of care to make it sound great. The staff in here are friendly, to the point where every time you buy a drink they wish you a great night out! So of course you do. The only small gripe i have about this place is that it has the usual cack selection of beers — kronenburg or fosters. yuk! Otherwise it’s a four and a half.
