More like a restaurant with a Pub attached. Clientele are mostly Chelsea locals. Food attempts to be gourmet but isn’t terribly original, although less pretentious than some of its neighbours. A cut above Gastropub in terms of ambiance with excellent service but food is less adventurous than the competition. Crab cakes tasted pre-masticated and were covered with Fisherman’s foam. But the free glass of wine or beer before 7pm was a nice addition. That was well received. Grolsch on tap was also welcomed. All-in-all a decent place to get cosy and inebriated after a spot of shopping.

We went here for lunch on Saturday, with bambino in pushchair and they were really accommodating, in fact brilliant. Food was gorgeous, if not a little pricey but we could have eaten more cheaply if we had chosen more carefully. Overall service, was prompt, and they were very smiley. That and the racing was on very discreetly in the corner was a bonus. Really great place and lets face it, I should have known it would have been on the more expensive side of things based on its location. Relaxed, efficient service though still is hard to find and they nailed it.

Located behind Harrods this cosy small pub /restaurant is very traditional in design and is the place to be seen on Walton Street. Ladies that lunch, celeb’s and the young Chelsea set along with some of the older«gentry» will be found here talking with a plum in their mouths and generally having a «splendid» time eating and drinking. A combination of a wine bar and restaurant with high standards to appease the demanding locals is not easy but here they have achieved it. Impeccable service comes with the territory here and they have it sussed. I have been here on many occasions and cannot help but use it for having a bit of fun, hopefully at their expense. I just cannot help myself and have to make some comment and gently poke fun at them. Bar staff are always polite and courteous, bar is popular so it does get a bit overloaded. If nothing else go for the fun element and see how the other half live in this upmarket and trendy part of Chelsea.
