I know, I KNOW, it’s The Gap. But I want to write a review due to the lovely sales staff here. On a recent visit I was looking for new jeans. They were on sale. Hoorah! However, I’m a girl on the higher end of their size range and finding pairs of jeans in my size in some jean styles isn’t always easy. I tried on a pair in a color I didn’t like just to see that they hadn’t changed the styles again(they keep doing that), and then asked the sales guy if it would be possible to find me a pair in a dark rinse(as there were none on the sales floor). While I’m well aware that any good retail employee *should* always do their best to satisfy the customer, this is very often not the case. Especially in London. And asking for a size on the larger end of the scale in Kensington has, in the past, been met with really rude words. It took him a trip to the 3rd floor stock room and a 10 minute search, but the super kind salesman returned victoriously with the ONE pair they had upstairs left in my size. And he was still smiling. You just don’t get kind service like that everywhere. Especially in chains. And especially in Kensington.

High Street Kensington is local to me, and Gap is the store that I frequent the most. It’s a large flagship store with three floors — as you enter you’ll walk past a selection of womenswear, the lower ground floor is split into childrenswear/lingerie and then the upper floor is menswear. Granted the clothing isn’t exciting, but I find Gap great for basics(jumpers, denim, vests, shirts, casual wear) and they cater for smaller sized women like myself(size 6). The quality is always perfect, and you definitely get value for money. I just wish that they’d have a greater selection of colours like pink and blue rather than black, grey and red!

Flagship store of Gap on high street kensington. The store was quite big and arranged over two floor. Also very good stock and a good range of lines available. It was quite good for young person as the price and design were excellent for 20s. One of the best fashion shop to go on high street kensington.
