The Misty Moon

Upon entering I was struck by the cavernous nature of this pub — it’s huge and has a central room that reminded me of a small train station.
As it turns out, this pub was converted from a 1920s art deco cinema. While it doesn’t scream art deco, it does make it a good venue for live music and other acts. In fact there were posters for an upcoming Tina Turner tribute band.
I was there on a very chilly weeknight, so it wasn’t really hopping. Towards the front were patrons simply enjoying beers, watching football and playing snooker.
There were menus offering Indian food, but neither I nor anyone else was eating. The barkeep was nice and the prices were good. I’ve given an extra star because I like how they pay homage to the building’s past (and the neighborhood) with loads of old photos and informational posters around the room.
I wouldn’t go out of my way to visit, but if in the neighborhood — check it out. Like Tina Turner said, «it’s simply the best (on that particular block).»

Great place has cover bands every month ive seen quite a few now from madness to Elvis and its open till 2 :)
